Should Parents Shield Their Children From Their Dating Life?

Jumping into the dating game after a decade long hiatus may be more terrifying than dipping toes into a pool of starved piranhas. Aging and gravity can take a toll on a woman's body but that's not the toughest part for a widow or a divorcee to handle. Instead, much of the fear rests in a mother's heart of how to introduce a potential boyfriend to her children. Many moms wait for the relationship to get serious before greetings are exchanged and others can hardly wait for the ink to dry on the legal documents before declaring themselves single and available. In Cougar Town's debut, Courteney Cox's character berated her neighbor for swiftly entering the dating pool but it was she who embarrassed herself when her son walked in on her pleasuring her new boy toy.

Jon and Kate Continue to Hang Out For the Sake of Their Eight

Say what you will about mom and dad of multiples, Jon and Kate Gosselin, but it's pretty impressive that despite their differences, the soon-to-be former husband and wife are still seemingly amicable around their children. They both appeared to enjoy their home-thrown Fourth of July festivities with their twins and sextuplets. Then, Jon took a very public jaunt to France with girlfriend Hailey Glassman, and granted an interview to People despite the statement that the parents issued saying they would not be talking publicly again about their divorce. One might have suspected he'd receive a chilly reception upon his return, but that doesn't look like the case in these photos of the tensome hanging out together.

Is Jon the New Kate?

Last month, it was America's most famous mother of eight, Kate Gosselin, who graced the cover of magazines and made numerous news headlines. The outspoken matriarch of TLC's favorite family talked about her books, television show and the demise of her marriage to husband, Jon. Once the couple filed for divorce, they issued a joint statement saying they would not be speaking out publicly and asked for people to respect their privacy. Things simmered down until this weekend when Jon took a business trip France with his girlfriend, Hailey Glassman. He also talked to People about his new relationship and denied reports of an engagement. He said:

"I know that my decision to appear publicly with Hailey this weekend will be scrutinized, but I hope that people can see I'm a regular guy who is going through a very difficult time in [my] life and wants to move forward."

The daddy of twins and sextuplets has a children's clothing line offer from Ed Hardy and is now apparently granting interviews, even chatting with the paparazzi when he landed last night. Do you think the Gosselin parents are switching roles?

Tim McGraw Is in Denial About His Daughters Dating

"I've jokingly told my friends who have sons the same age as Gracie that I'm going to hit the nicest boy of the bunch right off the bat so when he goes to school with a black eye, all of the other boys will see that I've punched the nicest one and they'll be scared to death of me."

I barely have time to hang out with my husband so I can't imagine how hard it would be to jump back into the dating pool with my two kids in tow. When I was single all I had to worry about was myself - no qualms about my son's shrieking or shelling out for babysitters - so I'm anxious to see TLC's new show Must Love Kids, which premieres tonight. The show will follow three single moms: Kristen, 33, Vanessa, 30, and Tracy, 37, who are looking to find love and romance again.
