The same thing happens every year without fail. As February arrives, kids lose their mittens just as the stores are turning their merchandise over to Spring. Good luck finding a replacement set this time of year.

If you thought mountain resorts were reserved for those who spend their days racing down the slopes and hitting the lodge for a little après-ski socializing, you are mistaken. The snow-covered mountains are a draw for ski and snowboard fans, but most resorts have expanded their offerings to include a variety of activities that will attract non-skiers and those barely old enough to walk in snow boots. From sleigh rides to ice shows and snow hikes, these six getaways are sure to produce memories that will last your lil ones a lifetime.

I know that winter's approaching when I start to see parents struggling with their kids to keep their hats on. The bucket hats, baseball caps and visors they wore into fall are shelved, while hand-knit, pom-pom and fleece hats (like this one from Janie and Jack ($20)) make their appearance.
You can tell a lot about children, and even more about their parents by the hats they wear.

'Tis the season for chunky sweaters and warm woolen mittens no matter where you rest your sled and these Winter sweaters from Oeuf ($88-$120) offer a cuddly and chic package that suits any lil elf.
The entire collection is ravishing, but I'm partial to the Hug Me Sweater ($96), which has mitten-shaped pockets. The notion of forking over near $100 for a sweater may seem silly, but having seen this line at a boutique I can attest that it has a timeless, heirloom quality.

We have to wrap them up before we can take them out! I asked you ladies to share a few of your favorite festive Winter coats for girls on TeamSugar so we could have our own catalog of cute finds for the holidays and user zacatecanita found a fabulous selection.
I am smitten with the Bunnies by the Bay Cuddle Coat ($50) because it's soft, cozy and the hood has two cute little bunny ears.
