They say kids grow up fast, but lately I'm blown away. Last week, my art obsessed daughter told me she can't wait to get a "needle" tattoo. I knew this was coming ever since she noticed mine as I stepped out of the shower a couple years ago. With wide eyes, she blurted out, "I want one," but I talked her in to waiting until she's 25. A couple days ago, she told me she "really needs a pink wig." I thought the conversation was headed toward Halloween, but she explained that it's because she's tired of having messy hair on the mornings I'm at work and my husband attempts to style it. "That way I can just put on a wig and go out," she explained. I'm considering caving on this one so she doesn't try to dye her hair.

Yesterday, she surprised me with the latest topic - sleeping with the opposite sex. A classmate told her he slept in the same bed as his girl cousin and they had a pretend wedding and kissed on the lips. In disbelief she said, "He doesn't even know that you can't marry your cousin. And, you're only supposed sleep with your boyfriend or girlfriend and kiss them on the lips!" My daughter is four and a half, I wonder what the topics of our conversations will be at 14?

Lil Find: Wigging Out Like Celebs

When my baby still had a bald noggin at six months old, a friend gave her the hysterical hot pink Lil Kim wig from Baby Toupee. The hair pieces are available in three other styles – The Donald (as in Trump), the Bob (as in Marley) and the Samuel L. (as in Jackson).

Clearly a conversation starter, you can whip out the outrageous hair toupees at family events, birthday parties or any other festive gatherings to get a few laughs. And, your kid can look back at the photos of their crazy coifs and know they had a cool mom.

Wee Ones Get the Glittered Glove For Halloween

If you wanna be startin' somethin' this Halloween, try dressing baby up like Michael Jackson! Kids will get a kick out of the glittered glove, flashy socks and the buckle beveled jacket. Add some flair to the look with a curly 80's wig for a complete "Thriller" look. When they get a piece of candy, they can holler, "Shamone" and if mama can teach them to moonwalk, the big candy bars are sure to find their way into the cavernous pumpkins.

Exclusive Interview: Angie Harmon Talks Postpartum Depression and Halloween

The list of actresses who've overcome postpartum depression and are willing to share their experience continues to grow. We had the opportunity to speak with Angie Harmon about motherhood and her love of outdoor playspaces for kids yesterday at an event celebrating Huggies' new Little Movers Diapers. The actress, who teamed up with the nappy giant to raise money for KaBOOM! – the non-profit that works with local communities to build parks and playgrounds – told us that she suffered from PPD following the births of each of her three daughters with former NFL star Jason Sehorn. She considers the disorder to be the dirty little secret your friends forget to tell you about motherhood.

We also discussed her daughters' upcoming Halloween costumes. Finley, 5, will be Batgirl because she loves the mask and the cape. Avery, 4, will be Strawberry Shortcake because she loves the pink wig and Emery, 9-months old, will be a blossoming flower.

Do You Know About Your Mother's Hospital Experience?

Oh mad mama! It was not easy to watch Betty Draper give birth on this week's episode of Mad Men and consider the bizarre and bygone birthing methods of the '60s. Betty and Don arrived at the hospital together, but he was quickly whisked to a daddy-to-be waiting room and she was wheeled away and told to prepare to be shaven and given an enema. While glowing and beautiful as ever, Betty was still grieving the loss of her father and an utter wreck, so the moment she was given procedural (but mysterious) drugs to calm her nerves she wigged out. BuzzSugar has a look at the maddest moments from the episode, but I am glued to the terrifying, lonely, emotional and hazy delivery room experience.

Modern moms are given choices. You can have a water birth or do it in a hospital bed. You can go drug-free or take carefully administered drugs to ease the pain. You can schedule your down-there maintenance at a beauty bar or go natural. You can hold your husband's hand or cast him to the waiting room. It's frightening to be reminded that such pregnancy and delivery choices weren't always available to women (and still aren't in many places in the world). Do you know if your mother or women in your family got the Betty Draper treatment in the hospital, or were they able to control their birthing experience?

Are Your Friendships Affected by Your Children?

A bit of fear creeps in when I am introducing my kids to my friends for the first time. I hope that my babes will adore my buddies (and vice versa), but there's no guarantee. I have experienced the awkward moment when my daughter wigged out as my girlfriend tried to hold her. And, watched as my child tried to strike up a conversation with friends only to have them snub her and return to other topics of interest. To be fair, they are generally self-proclaimed "no children" kind of people.

Though reactions can be chalked up to moodiness or bad timing, the bond (or lack there of) between a mom's kiddos and her friends can have a lasting impression on the adult relationship. Mamas may feel more at ease knowing her tots are surrounded by those who adore the wee company. She may stray from those that are only interested in adult time, which can be sparse. Do the relationships between your children and your friends affect your friendships?

Admit It, You've Had a Kate Gosselin Moment!

Much of America loves Kate Gosselin for her honesty and still others begrudge her candor. One of the reasons I admire the mama of multiples is because she allowed the cameras to roll through the good, the bad and the ugly - even capturing her Jon and Kate Plus 8 antics over stain fighting, bubble gum and discounts. While I've never gone on a tirade over a coupon or wigged out over my kids' marker use, I do watch her on television and relate.

There are times when all moms and wives overreact - like when I bagged my husband's clothes and put them by the front door because I was tired of tripping over them as I walked around our apartment or how I sound like a broken record when he or my kids don't respond to my inquiries or when I went into the living room to find a box of cereal crushed into the rug and cried because I was sick and tired of vacuuming up other people's messes. Moments of insanity and the fits that follow come with motherhood. So rather than crucifying Kate for her actions - I mean Jon's laid back demeanor and eight active kids can really take its toll on a type "A" woman once in a while - why don't we divulge our less than perfect behaviors and be thankful they weren't captured on film!

Sometimes you have to meet your kid in the middle. My daughter is pretty easygoing so when she asked for pink hair, I knew I'd be able to talk her into something a little less appearance altering. At four and a half, dye was out of the equation even if she pressed, but I was willing to cave on a wig. Then, an attachable pink hair piece caught her eye while we were passing Claire's at the mall.
