The holidays can be hectic, but a good book presents the perfect opportunity to get some one-on-one time with your tot. I've picked five seasonal reads, classic and new, that will get you both geared up for Santa's arrival.

There's a chill in the air and the crackling of wood-burning fires, and the Salvation Army bells ring on street corners. Christmas is closing in on us – less than two weeks away! Spend some time with your lil ones revisiting a classic holiday story from your youth.

Clement C. Moore published his great work, The Night Before Christmas back in 1825. The poem, already full of wonderment and cheer, is extraordinarily complemented by the illustrations of Niroot Puttapipat in the special, magical paper-cut edition. Each page offers a window into the next - leading the little ones through the glorious pages. The pop-up finale of a cityscape with St. Nick and his troop of reindeer flying overhead is truly a site to behold for both kids and adults.

Your tots will hang on every last word that comes as you tell the tale of Saint Nicholas. And, you'll enjoy the trip down memory lane.

Bob Dylan Recites "The Night Before Christmas"

It's bizarre enough that Bob Dylan has his own XM satellite radio show, but this clip of the singer reciting "The Night Before Christmas" is almost too much to handle. I, for one, love Bob, so listening to this recording provides a welcome, if strange, serving of holiday cheer. His colorful interpretation really speaks to his flair for folk poetry and talking blues.

But even if you're one of those people totally puzzled by Dylan, this clip is highly entertaining. Merry Christmas to Bob and to all a good night.

"Will We Ever Be on the Same Page?"

My boyfriend and I have been together since April of last year; we were introduced through someone I worked with at the time. When we first starting hanging out, we both said we weren't really looking for anything too serious, but if things became serious that was okay. Long story short, we really hit it off, so we became exclusive. In what felt like a natural manner to me, marriage started getting mentioned in conversations last summer, somewhere around July or August. At one point in August or September, I said something to the effect of, "I can see myself being married to you by this time next year," and he agreed. So, I was very happy, thinking that I was in love, and on the same page as the person I was in love with. I casually started looking around on the Internet at rings, dresses, and places to get married and every now and then we would even talk about each of our preferences. We agreed on a beach wedding, and I found this place we both loved in Florida.

Christmas came around and he wanted to know what I wanted. So, I tell him not to spend a bunch of money on a present, but to instead put it toward an engagement ring, because money is tight for us. He gave me pearl earrings and a dress for Christmas, and I loved both of them. On New Years Eve, us being married by the following summer came up in conversation. Hearing this, NYE, he proceeds to tell me that he didn't mean that, he just agreed with me because he didn't know I was being serious. WTF!?! I just freeze; I can't think, talk, nothing.

The next day, we talk it over as I am (I think understandably) very hurt. I don't want to rush him into getting married, but I know that I want to be with him for the rest of my life. I am 23 and he is 25, we get along wonderfully and have the same goals. My family adores him, his mom loves me, in short we are perfect together. He says that he thinks it is normal for people to be engaged about a year after they start dating, so I am thinking that everything is fine and our relationship is still on the route for marriage.

A couple of days ago, we had a big discussion about what the next few years will bring for us. I am going to go back to school to become a dental hygienist and he either wants to go back to school or become a contractor. It will take me about three years to get through school, so I said that I would really prefer to be married before I start, as we won't really have time to once I am in school. I make it perfectly clear that I am not trying to force him into a corner, but that this is just how I feel about things. He says he would love to get married to me very soon, and I am over the moon, thinking things are finally okay.

Last night, he tells me that he didn't mean that, either. He explained that he said it because he wants me to go to school now and is trying to trick me into thinking we will be married first...I don't know what to do anymore. We live together, we are in love, we both want to get married. I don't see the hold up! I don't want a big wedding, we wouldn't go broke over it. My dad would of course, chip in, and I know his family would help to. I am just very ready to take this step and he keeps giving me false hope.

What should I do? I don't want to leave him, but I really don't see what good it will do to wait years and years to get married.

Ryan Plays It Safe in Spain as Blake Celebrates Gossip Girl's 100th Episode

Ryan Reynolds joined Denzel Washington and Safe House director Daniel Espinosa for a photocall in Madrid today. The trio are kicking off their international press tour from Spain before making their way back to the States. Blake and Ryan spent Thanksgiving together at her sister's Park City, UT bed and breakfast, Johnson Mill Bed & Breakfast, and then celebrated Christmas with his family in Vancouver. The couple were recently spotted on a romantic getaway to Louisiana where Blake and Ryan explored New Orleans on foot. Last night, Blake's 100th episode of Gossip Girl aired and it seems fans are one step closer to discovering Gossip Girl's true identity - get all the OMG moments from Blair's royal wedding including Georgina's return and Serena's big confession.

LeAnn Rimes Shows Off Her Bikini Body and Maternal Instinct

LeAnn Rimes sported another skimpy bikini as she cuddled close to an adorable baby in Hawaii yesterday. While LeAnn doesn't have any kids of her own, she is a step-mom to husband Eddie Cibrian's two sons with his first wife. She tweeted about the joy of holding her friends' little ones and also asserted that she and Eddie have yet to try for children. Last night marked LeAnn's first singing performance of 2012 as she took part in the PGA tournament festivities. In her downtime before the concert, LeAnn has been showing off her bikini body in a number of tiny suits as she went from her Cabo Christmas to this island getaway.

Britney Spears Can't Stop Looking at Her Engagement Ring

Britney Spears shared a personal snap on Facebook last night. She modeled the new engagement ring given to her by fiancé Jason Trawick and captioned the snap, "I can't stop looking at it!" Britney and Jason got engaged just before Christmas and headed to Las Vegas for a bash that doubled as a congratulations party and a celebration for his 40th. They spent the holidays together and ventured away from LA for a quick trip to NYC. We'll see if the next 12 months include a wedding for Brit and Jason, or even an expansion of their family! One of our favorite 2012 celebrity predictions is a baby girl for Britney, who's already the mother to her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, and Jimmy Kimmel Cash Up and Head on Vacation

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt strolled through LAX with their good friend Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend Molly McNearney on Tuesday. The foursome all stopped to get cash out before their trip, perhaps off to spend New Year's Eve together somewhere. John and Emily spend some holidays back East with his family in Boston, though this Christmas may have been celebrated at home in LA. Jimmy had his own festive fun this year at the expense of some unwitting kids. On Jimmy Kimmel Live the late night host asked parents to give their children a bad present and tape their reactions. The resulting video, I Gave My Kids a Terrible Present quickly went viral on YouTube.

With January around the corner, John and Emily may have a quieter award season this year, but they'll both bundle up to head to the Sundance Film Festival. John's movie Nobody Walks is in competition, while Emily's Your Sister's Sister is part of the "cinema we love" spotlight series.
