The exquisiteness of the Marie Chantal Angel Wing towel ($110) and collection cannot be expressed in a picture. Though the pieces are pretty pricey, they are made of the type of soft cotton that is capable of sending any mother and infant far beyond the clouds.

Even the lil Europeans have a fabulous sense of style. The overseas companies just seem to capture the right mood when they design clothes. Catimini, the French brand known for their bright, whimsical designs and stunning embroidery, always catches my eye. Their Fall/Winter collection included knit jackets and sweaters with a worldly feel to them like this sweater dress ($38). I love it when designers have kids of their own because motherhood inspires them to create lil versions of their favorite pieces. The latest designer to join this bandwagon is Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, the woman behind the Shoshanna label of swimwear and dresses for busty women. Gruss has teamed up with classic children's apparel store Best & Co. to launch a swimwear collection just in time for the 2009 resort season. With traditional nautical and Summer prints inspired by New England vacation destinations, the nine piece line for boys and girls is likely to catch the eyes of Gruss' adult fans.
