When I first heard that celebaby favorite Splendid Littles would be teaming up with Target for an affordable collection of their popular play clothes, I was skeptical that they could recreate their signature soft fabric at a price the masses could afford. So imagine my surprise when I ran up to my local Target hours before the Boxing Day Blizzard to pick up some boots for the kids and came across the adorable collection.
Simple: Hold up a Splendid Littles for Target shirt next to the original collection and I dare you to feel a difference. Feeling every bit as soft and comfy as the line found at high end department stores, this White/Navy Two Piece Dress Set ($19) features the designer's stripes in the familiar polyester/cotton/modal blend.

Swank: The Splendid Littles Striped Tunic and Leggings set ($75) adds some tab details to the tunic's cuffs and two patch pockets to the top, while using a cotton/modal/polyester blend that is higher in cotton than the less expensive version. Which do you prefer?

Violet Affleck seems to be taking her role as big sister to baby Seraphina seriously. Checking her mama's BlackBerry for missed messages, the eldest Affleck daughter was the picture of casual cool on her way out of school earlier this week.

Earlier this week Ruby Maguire and Violet Affleck were caught wearing similar versions of Splendid Littles' striped dress, and it looks like Violet's mommy really likes the line because she bought Violet the dress in another color. Lots of moms and mommies-to-be like to think out loud, and Nicole Pearl, the Beauty Girl is one of them. She recently posted about her favorite products for baby and mom on her The Beauty Girl blog.

It's only Tuesday and it's already been a big week of celeb news: Kim K's divorcing and Jessica Simpson's having a baby! Breakups suck, but personal experience proves they make you stronger. Babies, on the other hand, are the biggest gift of love. I can't believe my little man Rex is already 8 weeks old! I admit, the past couple of months have been grueling between the sleepless nights and never-ending bouts of spit up. But they've also been the most rewarding, magical moments of my life.

Jessica's announcement got me thinking about how far I've come as a mom. Like, I went from not knowing what a breast pump was to being able to put the parts together in the dark. And the full five minutes it once took me to change a diaper has been shaved down to seconds. In just two months, I've become fluent in baby from gadgets to products. I still have a lot to learn, and I've been grateful to all the moms who have shared their tips with me. Now, it's my turn to pay it forward. I've listed a few of my favorite finds (more installments to come!). Hopefully these will come in just as handy for baby Simpson and all the future tots-to-be.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash: After washing Rex's hair and body with this, he smells just like a baby should - fresh, clean and yummy all at once. I've been sent a lot of baby bath products from a bunch of different companies and will report back on the others as I give them a try.

Kicky Pants, Ralph Lauren and Splendid onesies: A onesie is the baby equivalent of a dress. Just slip it on and the look is complete. From preppy to hipster, I love dressing Rex up in stylish looks, and I've fallen in love with the fashions from these three brands. Kicky Pants onesies come in fun prints and are made with a bamboo fabric that's so soft, I wish they made clothes for adults. Rex may as well be a model for Ralph Lauren because every other thing he wears is RL baby. From the most precious white nightie to a velour jumper, there's a wealth of adorable options, especially for boys. Splendid wins for creating mini versions of fashions that you'd wear yourself. Like the brand's adult line, the clothes are comfy and cute. Check out Rex in the lower photo with his teddy. He's rocking a Splendid hooded onesie.

Baby Aquaphor: I oil Rex up from head to toe every night. I keep a tub by his changing table and a tube in my diaper bag. I swear by this ointment. It's kept his pretty baby face acne free, has fended off diaper rash and stopped the first signs of cradle cap in its tracks.

Halle Berry and her boyfriend, Olivier Martinez, took Nahla for a stroll around Majorca yesterday. They checked out a street market on the Spanish island before Halle and Nahla, who looked cute in a Splendid Littles dress, parted ways with Olivier to catch a train headed to the nearby town of Palma. Halle and Nahla are continuing their Summer ways into Fall after they spent plenty of time near the beach in Malibu over the past few months. The fun will wind down soon, though, when Halle gets to work filming Cloud Atlas in the UK. She'll be joined on set by Hugh Grant, who was just added to the cast, and Nahla will also be able to join her following a recent custody ruling that allows the 3-year-old to travel with her mom.

Classic Cut Offs
Every gal needs a good old pair of cut off jean shorts. For me, denim cutoffs will always be a summer staple. They are as timeless as they are California cool. Lately, I’ve been wearing Levi’s because I like the looser fit and higher set waist. The Levi’s 501 cut works well with most body types. Other cute cut offs I found online include Madewell’s cuffed Midi Shorts or Urban Outfitter’s Urban Renewal Shorts.

Neutral Sandals
I cannot stress how important it is to have a great pair of neutral sandals. Your wardrobe choices are exponentially multiplied when you’ve got a pair of shoes that go with almost everything in your closet. A few of my favorites are the sandals I designed for my LC Lauren Conrad line for Kohl’s, Tory Burch’s Emmy Flats, Topshop’s Hoopa Sandals, and Aldo’s Dauster Flats. And for those of you who plan on treading into the sand, I suggest keeping a pair of Havaianas Slim Flip Flops handy (I like the sand grey and light golden color combo).

Pretty in pink! Sightings of 6-month-old Faith Margaret Kidman Urban are few and far between, but Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban didn't hide their love for their infant when they arrived at an Australian airport today. It looks like mama Nicole may subscribe to Victoria Beckham's philosophy of how to dress a little girl, as the precious tot was decked out in head-to-toe pink, including a blush-colored blanket. The sweet look is one moms everywhere can copy with just a few key pieces.

Halle and Nahla Spend Another Playful Day Together

Halle Berry and Nahla Aubry, wearing a cute top from Splendid Littles, hit up one of their favorite LA parks yesterday and checked out the jungle gym before moving along to the sandbox. The girls also met up with friends and shared a snack in between riding an open-air train and swinging on the monkey bars. Nahla's been splitting her fun between playful dates with Halle and shopping trips with Gabriel Aubry, who took their well-dressed toddler to Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade on Sunday. Halle and Gabriel have been figuring out their custody agreement, and hopefully it will be all figured out soon since Halle's reportedly heading to Berlin this Fall to start production on Cloud Atlas with her costar Tom Hanks.
