In case you missed it, Halle Berry was named the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine. She was always foxy in my girl crush world, but she's definitely made her way into hot mama territory as she has entered the world of motherhood this past year giving birth to her gorgeous baby Nahla.

The original vampire family hosts a ball on this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries, and the whole town puts on their finest formal wear for the event of the supernatural season. Elena has two dates to the event, but it's her date to meet the original witch that gives us insight into what's in store for Klaus and his siblings.

Speaking of Klaus, we get some developments between him and Caroline that are sweet and promising (even if she's a bit cautious to date him because of his cruelty in the past and general bloodlust). The Vampire Diaries "The Ties That Bind": The Good, The Bad, and The Bloody

It's a family reunion for Bonnie and her estranged mother on this week's The Vampire Diaries, but their meeting is less than magic (I'm sorry, I had to). They need her to open up one of Klaus's sealed coffins, but like most things on this show, they have to get through a bit of sticky business first. Meanwhile, Tyler recruits someone to help free him of his sire bond to Klaus so he can be with Caroline again, and Elena gets something off of her chest.

The other night I went to a friend's for dinner and a screening of My Week With Marilyn. In honor of the film (and Ms. Monroe), my gal pal, Whitney, showed up with a beautiful cherry lip (Guerlain's #529) and matching nails (Sephora by OPI's And a Cherry on Top). Keep in mind, Whitney is a neutral/pinky gloss girl.

Seeing her with scarlet lips was striking and felt totally fresh. She looked so great that I found myself asking why she doesn't do it more often. Whit's reply: "It's not special if you do it all the time." So true, and on closer inspection I noticed both her lip and nail color had a touch of gold. How very smart of her, as gold softens. A red lipstick may seem very thick and garish, but with a tinge of gold it seems to have more depth and feel very wearable. Every woman has a bright shade that will make her look sensational. Julia Restoin-Roitfeld Designs and Models Lingerie Line For Kiki De Montparnasse

Here’s a sexy little surprise to start off the day: For her first-ever design gig, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld has designed a capsule collection of lingerie for Kiki de Montparnasse. As we reported back in September, Roitfeld mysteriously hinted that she might be working on a lingerie line, but nothing was confirmed until now, which is great because you’ll only have to wait about a week to get your hands on the lacy creations. According to Elle, the collection hits stores next Wednesday.
Julia told Elle of the design process:

"I had quite a strong idea of what I wanted to achieve but had absolutely no knowledge of lingerie design. Lingerie design is very specific: it’s not just about looking good - it’s really about the fit and every detail counts. I had many meetings with the team at Kiki, submitted my sketches, and then it was about seeing what was doable, the fabrics we could play with, etc. I knew what I wanted, but I couldn’t have done it so well without their expertise."

The model/muse/graphic designer/photographer/mom wouldn’t spill any details about her next project, so how about a sexy, stylish maternity line?
