Carrie Bradshaw didn't do me any favors. Thanks to the title of her famous movie, my daughter broached the subject of sex. As parents we know the time will come, I just didn't think it it would be so soon — at four and a half!

In one of my favorite scenes in the Sex and the City movie, the gals sit around their favorite brunch table with Charlotte's adopted daughter, Lily, and attempt to talk about sex without using any graphic words. They end up improvising by comparing it to "coloring." While it made for a hilarious rift in the film, talking about adult subjects in front of children is always dicey.

Babysugar and I were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the Sex and the City movie last week, but while everyone oogled the fab four — Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, I had my eye on the new girl in town — Lily. There's a scene in the fourth season of Sex and the City where a labor and delivery nurse is cheering Miranda on, as she is about to give birth. Carrie turns to the nurse and simply shakes her head, signaling for the cheerleader to cut the words of encouragement as Brady's mom delivers him.
While every laboring mama has an idea of the type of birthing coach she wants to support her throughout the process, an unexpected slip of a few choice phrases can completely change the mood in the room. Knowing what an expectant mum wants during the process can help visitors plan their words wisely, but here are five things that are never appropriate to say to the soon-to-be mother.

She's a fashion icon for an entire generation of women, and when she's not making headlines for her clothing choices — both on and off the television and movie screens — Sarah Jessica Parker prides herself on her urban family life.
While fans may love her best for playing Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw on both the small and large screens, Parker's role as mom to James Wilkie, 6, is the one that she cherishes. Often seen taking her son to school or palling around New York City with him, she said that she loves "to do everything with him as long as he will have me around .

Sarah Jessica Parker and her hubby, Matthew Broderick were thrilled to announce that they were expecting twin additions via surrogate last month. But now the couple, already parents to son, James, 6, fear for the safety of the woman carrying their daughters as her identity has been discovered and her computer and phone were hacked into. The pregnant woman has also received threats.
