The Federline Boys: From Bowl to Crew Cuts

What a difference a haircut makes! Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline sheared off their signature bowl haircuts and sported some pretty darn cute crew cuts this weekend! The brothers, 3 and 2, spent some time poolside with their mother Britney Spears at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Ray. The blond boys soaked up the sun and swam while wearing baseball caps and swimmies. Now that their locks have been cropped, we got the first good look at their gorgeous lil faces. You Vote: Toxic Federlines or Beckham Breaking?

No doubt rock royalty has a leg up on dance moves as the kiddos grow up surrounded by music and are able to study their parents' skills. Tots that inherit the boogie-woogie gene can use it to their advantage and garner attention.

Check out 3-year-old Sean Preston and his lil brother, Jayden James, getting "Toxic" during one of their mama's rehearsals. Then take a gander at 4-year-old Cruz Beckham when he stole the show at his mama's Spice Girls concert a while back. Tell us if you prefer the hula-hoop mini Feds or the break-dancing Beckham.

Basketball season is underway, which means we're sure to see lots of celebmamas and papas taking their tots to Lakers and Knicks games galore. David Beckham treated his eldest son, Brooklyn, to courtside seats and a caramel apple. Other families spent the weekend jet-setting around the world. The Stefani Rossdale crew is jammin' in Hawaii while Britney and her entourage took a private plane to Louisiana for some down-home family time. After agreeing to give ex-husband Kevin Federline custody of her kids, Britney Spears singled out Jenny McCarthy at a Generation Rescue event hosted by the former playmate-turned-author and her beau, Jim Carrey. While Jenny was a bit of a wild child back in the day, she's gained the respect and admiration of many as an advocate for autism. Since her son, Evan, 6, was diagnosed with the developmental disorder, she has used her celebrity to bring attention to it. Britney Spears: Parental Rights or Lost the Fight?

Mama's gone wild and it just keeps getting worse each time Stinky Diaper Award Winner, Britney Spears makes the news. The 26-year-old mother of Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1, caused yet another stir when she holed up in her house Thursday night and refused to relinquish her sons to ex-husband, Kevin Federline's care. Now, Britney has lost visitation rights until a hearing on January 14.

Kevin Federline, Father of the Year?

Dina Lohan was named one of Long Island’s Top 20 Moms by Mingling Moms and now Kevin Federline is being crowned "Father of the Year" by Prive Las Vegas. While, the faithful and frequent patron who happens to be the father of four was probably an obvious choice, I'm shocked that a Sin City nightclub would even present such an honor.

The aspiring actor/dancer/rapper seems to have stepped up his parenting game with sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, in the last year during ex-wife Britney Spear's very public breakdown, but does that make him Father of the Year?

Britney's Boys Are Moving Right Along

It will be about a month before wayward mum, Britney Spears can go back to court to petition for custody of her sons, Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1. The commissioner decided that no visitation would be restored until that date at the earliest.

These lil guys have been through quite an ordeal with all of their mama's antics. We hope the pop-star who never seems to make it to court pulls it together for the sake of her boys.

In the meantime, the tots are staying with daddy, Kevin Federline. And, from these pictures taken yesterday near their house in Tarzana, while they were out with their nanny, the cuties seem to be moving right along.

Spears Gets a Stinky Diaper Award

Babytalk magazine just announced its 2007 Stinky Diaper Awards. And it's no shocker that Tinseltown's queen of mama drama, Britney Spears, topped the list of the worst parenting offenders. The pop singer made the 2006 list for failing to secure son Sean Preston in his car seat, but this year the 26-year-old's laundry list of motherly mishaps made her an obvious choice for the Mommy Run Amok award. And made Kevin Federline's actions look admirable. Here's more from a Babytalk press release:

"Every mom makes her fair share of childcare mistakes, but Britney Spears' recent behavior has hit an all-time parenting low," said Susan Kane, editor-in-chief of Babytalk. "Spears landed on the top of Babytalk's 2007 Stinky Diapers list for a number of reasons: drinking and smoking around the kids; allegedly filling their bottles with soda and feeding them chewing gum (an obvious choking hazard); neglecting to childproof her home. and several well-publicized driving indiscretions."
