The possibilities of Rice Krispies treats are endless when mama's got food coloring, candy and gloves at her disposal. The red apples were such a hit that I figured we'd go for broke on some savory orange pumpkins. Take a platter full of these delectable delights in for the classroom Halloween soiree and mama will be the toast of the tots.

Looking to create a red-hot room? Take note from the premiere of Hank, which featured a cool fire engine bed that would have most kids begging to be sent to their rooms! At the centerpiece of the room, the bright frame stood out from the traditional furniture that surrounded it.

Life's not all sunshine and rainbows, but dinner can be! Take a few items from the fridge, dice them up, and mama's got a delish, balanced meal in no time!
Pull out a boiled egg, fresh blueberries, red bell peppers, carrots, and zucchini.

Remember the old joke, "What's black and white and red all over?" A blushing zebra! Serve up a delightful striped meal to a zoo loving lil guy and keep him laughing for days at mama's culinary wit.

Mommy Dearest,
Isn't the number one rule of play dates not to bring your sick child to another family's house? I recently hosted a play group and invited six other mothers and their babies over to play and have lunch. I was happy to have them all accept the invitation, except one.

I've been a sucker for Adam Sandler since Saturday Night Live, and even more so after he chatted up his daughters on Letterman, but it was my 4-year-old who practically dragged me to his latest flick, Bedtime Stories, after she saw it rained gumballs in the trailer.
Once we settled into our seats to watch the story of Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler), a hotel handy man who collaboratively tells imaginative tales with his niece and nephew that come true, I was enjoying the movie as much as my daughter. The four bedtime fantasies — Medieval, old West, ancient Greece, and outer space — are brought to life with the cast members playing roles in each tale.

New Yorkers were seeing double the other day when gorgeous Julianne Moore and her adorable daughter, Liv Freundlich, stepped out into the chill bundled up in wool peacoats and slim trousers.
Dressed in dark neutral tones, the duo's outfits complemented their thick heads of red hair, fair complexions and pale eyes. The classic wardrobe staple is cute on the six-year-old and equally chic on her mum proving that investing in a traditional garment will get you Winter upon Winter of wear.

I recently ran into Cole Haan to pick up a pair of black patent wedges that were to become my Fall shoe of choice when the cutest lil thing caught my eye. In honor of their 80th anniversary, the company has come out with a line of crib shoe penny loafers ($50). The four designs are perfectly suited for prepsters in the making with classic black and brown versions, as well as red or brown suede ones too.
