When British photographer Tom Robinson found out he was going to be a father, he couldn't wait to share the news with friends and family. "It's generally a good idea to wait until the three-month scan before telling people you're going to have a baby, just to make sure everything is OK. I'm terrible at keeping secrets, so after only a few weeks I told my boss at work that I was going to be a dad and his reaction was so priceless, I instantly knew I had to capture the reactions of my close friends and family," Tom said. "We hadn't been trying for a baby and I was 29, which for London is fairly young to have a child, so I knew I'd get some good reactions." And thus "I'm Going to Be a Dad" was born.

Moms love Facebook. In just a few short years, the social networking site has become the de facto playground for showing off baby pictures, bragging about lil one's latest accomplishments -often to friends' chagrin - and asking friends and family for parenting advice.

The world's largest social network is about to become a tool for announcing pregnancies as well. Though Facebook recently removed a page belonging to an unborn baby, the company recently added an an "expected child" option to members' profile pages. Parents-to-be can now add their unborn child, her future name, and due date, to their families in the "friends and families" portions of profiles, and the updates appear in friends' newsfeeds. In an age where oversharing has become the norm, how do you feel about learning friends are pregnant through a newsfeed update?

Why Christy Turlington Isn't Celebrating Mother's Day

Did you know that a woman dies every 90 seconds from pregnancy complications and 90 percent of those deaths are preventable? It's serious stuff, and an issue that's become Christy Turlington's life passion. Today Turlington, supermodel, wife to Edward Burns, mom to Grace and Finn, and founder of Every Mother Counts, an advocacy group that's working to reduce the global maternal mortality rate, launched a new campaign called No Mothers Day. For the video above, Turlington enlisted the help of famous moms including Jennifer Connelly, Debra Messing, Ann Curry, Kelly Rutherford, and Blythe Danner, along with a host of real moms, to support the cause, which asks moms to "disappear" on Mother's Day. "This Mothers Day I am honoring all moms by going silent," Turlington told us. "The . . . public service announcement features moms encouraging other moms to join in solidarity by disappearing May 13, Mother’s Day. No Mothers Day is a powerful social issue campaign designed to raise awareness about the hundreds of thousands of girls and women around the world who die each year from complications related to pregnancy or childbirth."

Is TLC's New Reality Project on Obese Moms-to-Be Offensive or Educational?

Does the idea of watching a reality show called Obese & Expecting intrigue or upset you? According to Entertainment Weekly, TLC's hour-long pilot, set to air May 17, will document the experience of four morbidly obese moms-to-be, honing in on their health issues, relationship issues, and struggles with pregnancy weight gain. An announcement issued by the network stated, "These women are challenging the perception - and the odds - of obese pregnancies, as they become moms, no matter their size or complications."

While Obese & Expecting will launch as a one-hour special, TLC frequently uses this method to gauge audience interest in deciding whether or not to order a full series. What do you think? Is it wrong to turn women's health issues into reality television, or can the struggles of those featured be used to educate viewers? Will you tune in?

Congratulations to Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson on the birth of Maxwell Drew! The baby girl, born this morning in LA, reportedly weighed in at nine pounds, 13 ounces.

We've admired the songstress and fashion designer's maternity style since officially announcing her pregnancy via Twitter in late October. While attending promotional events, awards shows, and hitting the streets of NYC and LA, she looked fabulous at each stop! While leopard print and black seemed to be Jessica's pregnancy fashion staples, we can't wait to hear if she went through with her plan to wear a leopard caftan in the delivery room!
