A very small percentage of women will suffer from an ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy is defined as: development of a fertilized egg elsewhere than in the uterus (as in a fallopian tube or the peritoneal cavity)

There is no way to save an ectopic pregnancy. It cannot turn into a normal pregnancy. If the egg keeps growing in the fallopian tube, it can damage or burst the tube and cause heavy bleeding that could be deadly. If you have an ectopic pregnancy, you will need quick treatment to end it before it causes dangerous problems.

In a very rare case, doctors missed the opportunity to diagnose Meera Thangarajah with such a pregnancy. After enduring an ovarian pregnancy, the happy family welcomed a daughter into their family. The couple named their baby girl Durga, which means Goddess.

Country crooners weren't the only stars shining in Vegas last weekend. Sunday night served up the world's finest in country music at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Sin City. Unlike Tinseltown, Vegas was NOT crawling with pregnant ladies. Maybe the casinos kept the mamas at bay. Or perhaps, it was the fear of standing next to Nicole Kidman on the red carpet. The glowing strawberry blonde was a site to be seen. Until now, it's been hard for me to think of her as a mama–to–be since her tummy was relatively flat. But dressed in a stunning silver frock that accented her bump, she was a vision of beauty.

Angelina Jolie has confirmed that she is with twins! In an Access Hollywood interview with the mama-to-be and actor Jack Black to promote their new flick Kung Fu Panda in Cannes, the funny man and father of two, outed his co-star by saying she would soon have the same number of kids as the Brady Bunch. The glowing starlet confirmed that she would be delivering her fifth and sixth children, but said they are keeping the sex of the babies private. It looks like Papa Brad Pitt is well on his way to forming that family soccer team!

Mariah Carey and Ellen Baby Talk

Is five weeks with Mr. Right and a successful album launch enough to make you want a baby? Less than a month ago, the New York Daily News reported that sultry songstress Mariah Carey said:

It's hard to have kids in this world. I don't think I could properly educate a child right now. Maybe in the future, but I actually haven't thought about it.

Additionally, she said having children would leave her feeling violated.

Now, weeks later, the newlywed dished with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on the same subject. She told Ellen:

I always said if I found the right person who I felt would be on the same page as me in term of raising kids and having the same belief system, we'd have kids. I've always had a weird thing about it because my parents divorced when I was three and I didn't have many examples of what was the norm.

While I'm not one to begrudge the couple if they are excited about having children, I am stunned that her opinion changed so abruptly. What's your take?

Reese Witherspoon had her husband Jim Toth by her side as she landed at the airport in Nice this afternoon. The couple are in France for the Cannes Film Festival, where Reese will premiere Mud with costar Matthew McConaughey. Matthew's already started making the rounds in the South of France since he's also promoting The Paperboy with Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron at the festival.

It's been an exciting few months for Reese, who celebrated her one-year wedding anniversary and is looking forward to welcoming her third child. Reese has been staying active during her pregnancy, and recently hit the tennis courts for a workout with friends. She'll show off her fit form on the red carpet on Saturday, joining the many other celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
