I have given many nursery pillows for "welcoming baby" gifts, but none as cute as these from Elle and Evans. Each pillow is made with fine dupioni silk, filled with down feathers, and can be monogrammed for $58. These fabulous pillows are appropriate for both boys and girls and can go along with modern and shabby chic themed rooms.

We know that infants aren't supposed to sleep with pillows, but they are sweet and add the perfect touch to baby's room. And, eventually, the accent finds its place on a bed.

The Lulu DK Child For Schmacher collection will make you want to redesign the nursery now! It features 12 cotton fabrics - eight prints and six embroideries - in a range of pastels and bright tones. Jungle animals, butterflies, stars, and more would work for little boys and girls but are sophisticated enough to take your kids through high school and beyond. The fabric doesn't come cheap (we found it for between $50 and $115 per yard), but it would only take a few yards to make some seriously kid-chic pillows. Color Ideas For Shared Boy/Girl Bedrooms

After reading Nate Berkus's resources for color inspiration, CasaSugar Community member cubamarsh wrote, "I have five-year-old boy/girl twins. They have to sleep in the same bedroom for the time being. Any suggestions how to decorate/PAINT especially for both?" I made some of my own suggestions with 10 ideas for gender neutral children's rooms, but I thought I'll poll all of you for your thoughts as well on Facebook. We got a great response with so many hues I'd never thought of, so I'm really excited to share these color ideas with you!

An Alphabet Pillow

As a mom, I love when I find cute things that also teach my kids something. That is what I had in mind when I designed my alphabet nursery pillow cover. This has catapulted me into a whole line of nursery decor that I want to design for my Etsy shop.

For this piece I kept it gender neutral with a soft blue duck fabric and soft very pale pink thread. My 3-year-old son couldn't resist trying to name all the letters as I posed the piece for pictures.
