There aren't many parenting shows on the networks these days that resonate with real life moms and dads. Sitcoms like Notes From the Underbelly and In the Motherhood were just too over the top. But, now it looks like one hour long show in NBC's Fall lineup may break the cycle of canceled shows.

Minivans may be one of the most unattractive vehicles on the road but when it comes to practicality, they are hard to beat. Buckets seats, third rows, deep trunks and sliding doors make the aerodynamic wheels hard to resist for parties of four or more. Before having kids, I swore up and down that I would never command such a vessel but now that I'm part of the motherload, I'm reconsidering my options.

It may be hard to top hot dog eating contests and faux pregnancies, but the networks are going to have to find a way to come up with more clever pregnancy fodder to inject into their story lines with the number of network ladies firing up buns in their ovens. ABC has quite a few expectant mamas in its lineup while NBC, CBS, and Lifetime aren't too far behind in the baby bump race. Tiffani Thiessen plans to put parenthood on hold since she's signed on to a new show, but she may find inspiration in these fuller tummied leading ladies.

The mom of two — Josh, 5, and Luke, 6 months — juggles a high-powered, very visible job with a knack for running that has seen her complete five marathons.

The single mother of octuplets, Nadya Suleman who has 14 children in all, was released from the hospital early Thursday morning. While much of America is fascinated by the 33-year-old who used fertility drugs and donor sperm to conceive all of her offspring, it is NBC's Ann Curry who scored the first interview. After watching this first clip of the conversation that will air in its entirety on Monday on Today and Tuesday on Dateline, what is your impression of Nadya Suleman?

Like most of the country, I have been glued to the Olympic coverage. In the wee hours of Friday morning, I watched 18–year–old American Nastia Liukin earn the title as the third American woman to win the all around gold medal for the US. Holding my breath and grinding my teeth with every approach she made, I rooted her on.

Giving birth to a child is a poignant moment in a mom's life — one Texas woman experienced it twice with her daughter. One-month-old Macie Hope, had been medically taken from her mother's womb during the sixth month of pregnancy so doctors could remove a tumor the size of a grapefruit that would have killed her. Then, she made her official debut ten weeks later on May 3rd.

Supervising your children while they swim is a given, but what about once they get out of the pool? A South Carolina boy died one hour after swimming. According to an NBC report, fourth grader, Johnny Jackson died of asphyxiation by drowning, also known as dry drowning after he walked home from his local pool with his mother, had a bath and retired to bed for a nap.

Sex and the City and Melrose Place creator Darren Star, along with SONY and NBC are reportedly in the works to create another show for television. The hour long must see is set to take place in the posh Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope.
