Babies are some of the most adaptable beings on the planet. With a lil practice and some love from mama, wee ones can follow most any routine (or lack thereof) that their mother sets up for them, even when it comes to sleeping. Parents on the go know that a crib is just a crib when it comes to getting some shut-eye.

LOL! Adaptable? Really? Not my son. He is a very "routine" kid and essentially refuses to sleep anywhere but his crib or a crib in a very similar setup at my mom's house. Not the car, stroller, even or even the floor or couch at our house. Even as an infant. I wish he were more unstructured sometimes because it would make my life easier on occasion. But since we aren't jet setters, most of the time it's not an issue, I guess. He does well with his routine. Maybe if we were jet setters, he would have had to learn to adapt. It would be interesting to know.
1My kid... just didn't sleep as an infant. She slept wherever she would sleep, period. At first it was a laundry basket, then her stroller, then the swing, then her crib. She has never been one of those kids that fell asleep like while eating..it was always an overtired state of screaming at the top of her lungs, never just falling asleep. Now that she's 21 months, she needs her blankie and her pillow and a baby and she will generally lay down and go to sleep.
2When my son was little and we would go for a bike ride he would always fall asleep. He would be riding in that little seat behind me and he would just lay his head down on my backside and fall asleep and I would need to ride back home trying to hold his head so it would not flop around and we had so many people pointing at us as I was trying to ride back. It was really cute though and it never mattered if he was tired or not he would just fall asleep.
