Heidi Klum Shows Off Her Third Trimester Knockout Body

The glitz and glamour of a black tie affair is enough to get any mama giddy about a night on the town. Trading in the sweats for a beautiful gown and primping in front of the mirror – be it for a fancy wedding, a charity event or a school function – can make a mom forget the bickering tots she leaves at home for the evening.

Though Heidi Klum makes it look effortless, finding a maternity dress that flatters an expectant mama's assets and hides her growing bump – especially in her last trimester – is no easy feat. The supermodel and mom of three, who looks to be due any day now, showed off just how sexy pregnancy can be at the Emmy Awards. Forgoing the traditional black empire-waist maternity dress, the Project Runway host opted for a custom black strapless Marchesa gown, remarking, "I wanted something simple because I'm so big."

Shade Your Growing Belly at the Beach With a Stylish Coverup

Once an expectant mama's picked out the best swimsuit to flatter her curvaceous figure, it's time to select something to protect that baby belly. From expensive designer tunics to inexpensive dresses, take a look at some of our favorite beach coverups that are sand, sea, and poolside appropriate.

Whether it's for her own baby shower or a Summer wedding, baby mama has got to outfit that beautiful bump in something comfortable and flattering. The little black dress does the trick and will work for more than one occasion. The wrap function will take her into her postpartum nursing days, too!

Simple: The cotton and Modal blend Old Navy dress is machine washable and hardly looks like a $25 bargain.

No need to decide between over-the-belly or under-the-belly pant panels, dresses speed up the morning dressing routine by eliminating the need to assemble outfits.

There are many reasons why I'm not thrilled about carting a bevy of sun dresses across the country for back–to–back weddings that I'm attending. Aside from carrying my daughter around airports, heavy loads aren't recommended for pregnant ladies. And even though maternity dresses have improved in recent years, I still don't love to spend loads of money on dresses that only last me a few months.

That's why I ADORE the Julia dress ($195) from Calypso. The non–maternity silk dupioni wrap dress has been worth every single penny I paid for it. (Tip, some colors are on sale for $135 right now!) The flirtatious frock can be worn in various ways; as the original wrap dress or tied up in the more popular prego–friendly fashion pictured above. This garment worked wonders for my nursing postpartum figure, my slimmed down stressorexic physique and my current expectant state.

The dress requires minimal upkeep. After wearing, you can just toss it in the washer and hang it to dry with wrinkled creases and all. For vacations, you can throw it in your suitcase for safe keeping. The crinkled silk look reflects the shine and beauty of the colorful fabric.
