Jennifer Garner Talks About Working With Hubby Ben Again

For many working mamas, the opportunity to dress up and head into the office is about more than just bringing home the bacon. Lots of ladies enjoy the adult company, the mental stimulation, and the break from their home lives. While it may sound like an idyllic opportunity for the whole family to work and play together on a daily basis, many mums and pops may not accept the offer. When asked if she would want to work alongside her hubby on the silver screen again, actress Jennifer Garner told the press:

"The question keeps coming up, and we have literally never spoken about it . . . He's a beautiful director and such a gorgeous writer but, you know, to go to work with him, I would just be like, 'I need to go home to the kids.'"

Should Teacher Who "Married" His Fourth Grade Student Be Fired?

A Portland fourth grader went to the head of the class to "marry" her teacher. The child proposed to Paul Rosenblum who agreed to play groom in the pretend nuptials on the playground. He sported a graduation gown and tie and the bride wore a sheet. They sealed the union by holding hands and running down a ramp. After students told their parents about the ceremony, the school received complaints. The teacher issued an apology for his lapse in judgment saying he was "sick with regret." The superintendent did not comment on whether any further action had been taken. What's your take on the incident?

When Times Get Tough Do You Think Back to the Past?

Last night TLC aired, Jon & Kate Plus 8: The First 10 Years, a retrospective about the couple and their children. While last week's Big Announcement was a tearjerker, this special was equally sad. It was not because it focused on the demise of Jon and Kate's marriage and the breakup of the family, but because it showcased their happiest times with home videos, clips of the honeymooners in Disney World and welcoming the twins and sextuplets. It featured footage of them purchasing houses and making them homes filled with memories. There were scenes of the tensome laughing, vacationing, bonding and the parents in love. It was hard to watch without thinking about how much Jon and Kate are giving up in order to move on. While they will not be making public comments as they deal with their separation, do you think fewer parents would divorce if they stopped to remember the past and all the reasons they initially fell in love and what they accomplished in creating their children?

Stand by Your Man or Cry Me a River?

Tammy Wynette's classic song "Stand by Your Man" may be the traditional tune, but it seems some family women are not up to the task, especially when their very public husbands cheat. Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River" may be more suited for wronged wives like Jenna Sanford. The mother of four is marching to the beat of a different drummer than some of her famous peers like Silda Spitzer and Hillary Clinton. Elizabeth Edwards even said she did not want her children to remember the scandalous image of her husband, John, so she helped to "create the picture for them that I want them to have."

After disappearing, Governor Mark Sanford was discovered in an Atlanta airport and shortly thereafter admitted to and apologized for an extramarital affair with an Argentinian woman. For the first time in a while, a pearl-adorned wife was not there to watch her husband weep his way through a press conference. Perhaps the leaked emails between the governor and his mistress were too damning for her to make an appearance. Though they are currently separated, Jenna Sanford issued a public statement regarding their situation and how it affects their children. To see what she said, read more. South Carolina's first lady said:

"I would like to start by saying I love my husband and I believe I have put forth every effort possible to be the best wife I can be during our almost twenty years of marriage . . . Instead, the greatest legacy I will leave in this world is the character of the children I, or we, leave behind. It is for that reason that I deeply regret the recent actions of my husband Mark, and their potential damage to our children."
