Some women never find Mr. Right, but why shouldn't they be able to bring home babies? The latest issue of Marie Claire magazine covers the subject in the aptly titled, article, And Baby Makes Two.

Broken into three stories, the must read showcases a new breed of single moms - women who created their own fairytale endings rather than accepting the traditional one that may have left them childless. To find out more about these women, read more. One essay said:

"I thought to myself, I'm a mother. Not a single mother. Just a mother. The joy I felt was overwhelming, although when I looked at my baby's face, I wished desperately that my own mother, who'd died three months earlier, could have been there to see her.

Celeb Mom Reese Witherspoon's Marie Claire's Cover Girl

It's fitting that America's sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon is Marie Claire's February cover girl. The issue hits stands today. Beyond having the girl next door type of face that graces the pages of magazines and tabloids a like, there's a lot more to the blond beauty than her laundry list of films, former marriage to Ryan Philippe and current romance with Jake Gyllenhaal. She's the working mother of two, daughter, Ava, 8 and Deacon, 4 who aims for balance in her life. She said:

"I think, like every working parent, I sometimes feel that there are not enough hours in they day. But overall, I'm very fortunate that my job has a lot of flexibility. I spend a lot of time with the kids, just around the house. They're still pretty young, so I feel like what I can mostly do is listen to them and be there for them."

And, many of Reese's current projects are aimed at creating a better world for her children. In addition to promoting her new film, Penelope that deals with the issue of self-acceptance in young women, she has a new post as the first Global Ambassador for Avon. She said:

New York Mom Hits the Weed to Cope With Work and Wee One

The word stoner doesn't necessarily conjure up the image of a working woman with a kid, but some mothers find that smoking a bowl allows them to find better balance between career and child. A recent article in Marie Claire included an interview with mama Rachel Murphy, who routinely inhales after she puts her young daughter to bed. In order to secure an insurance policy, the New Yorker had to resort to chugging Ready Clean, which her husband was none to thrilled about. The story said:

The white-knuckle experience became a major source of tension in her marriage, Murphy concedes, so she stopped smoking for a while. But it didn't last. "I'm sorry, but I have a stressful job, I have a baby. I need to unwind somehow, and I don't really like to drink," she grumbles. So, while hanging out with married friends, most of whom are also parents, Murphy will occasionally join in when one pulls out a baggie and starts prepping a bowl. "I got kind of uptight," she says of her weed-free phase. "And my husband was like, 'Actually, I liked you better when you smoked.'"

Women Buy Time by Freezing Their Eggs

The May issue of Marie Claire has babies covered, from Baby Mama star and real-life mom Tina Fey on the cover to a firsthand account of egg banking inside.

In a steady relationship but not ready to have children, writer Sarah Elizabeth Richards bought herself some time and peace of mind by freezing her eggs.

As she approached her 37th birthday, Sarah spent her $13,000 savings to do so. She wrote:

"For once, I didn't have to be that anxious girl trying to beat some fertility expiration date anymore. I could simply admire a baby and wonder what mine would look like someday, the way I used to before the biological clock started."

Approximately 220 American clinics now offer egg freezing, though the process is still new, as only about 500 babies have been born of it. For more information on egg banking, check out the latest issue of Marie Claire.

Momazing: Woman Delivers Baby on Front Lawn

Pregnant women have long given birth in fields, at home, and in the tub, but one California mom delivered on her front lawn. According to a report, Jessica Higgins was driving home from a shopping trip with her 2-year-old son when her 34-week-old fetus decided it was time to debut.

The 36-year-old woman got home, called 911, and allowed her tot to stay sleeping in the backseat of the car while she pushed her lil princess out without assistance. Weighing in at 5 pounds, 11 ounces, Mary Claire had a most memorable birth. Police arrived to find the mom cradling her daughter in the driveway and the father came in time to cut the umbilical cord.
