While many moms and dads fret about having the birds and the bees conversation with their children, some never broach the topic of the first kiss. Kids' lips can meet in puppy love on the playground or years down the road for late bloomers. In last night's episode of Mad Men, Sally Draper planted a wet one on her friend, Ernie, while the two innocently pretended they were driving in a car as they sat in an empty bathtub.

Oh mad mama! It was not easy to watch Betty Draper give birth on this week's episode of Mad Men and consider the bizarre and bygone birthing methods of the '60s. Betty and Don arrived at the hospital together, but he was quickly whisked to a daddy-to-be waiting room and she was wheeled away and told to prepare to be shaven and given an enema.

The recent A Night to Remember episode of Mad Men featured a serious post dinner party meltdown from the perfect on the outside, tormented on the inside, housewife Betty.

The moment broke my heart because it appeared the tender character was trying to express himself and I was reminded what an important role music can play in a child's development.

The other night while accepting his Emmy, Mad Men's Matthew Weiner mentioned his three children, the first two by name and then referred to the third as "the other one" before quickly adding in a proper moniker. Whether the statement was artfully crafted or a memory slip, it's something to which most moms and dads can relate. Do you ever forget your child's name or call them the wrong one?
