Teach your children what to do in an emergency, because you never know when lightning may strike. Nine-year-old Tristan Coxwell called 911 when his mother, Kimberly Krone, was struck by lightning in the family's Texas kitchen. The calm child kept his cool and an eye on his siblings while he gave the operator information.

Keith O'Dell, 23 months old, keeps his eye on the eight ball and can't stand to scratch! The tot who is likely still in diapers spends two to three hours a day angling his stick around his mini felt table perfecting shots.

Baby Aya's (meaning miracle) birth is nothing short of one. The two-pound infant was born at 25 weeks, just two days after her mother, a former British figure skater, was declared brain dead as a result of a brain hemorrhage. Though she had appeared to be in perfect health, the mom-to-be, Jayne Soliman, suffered the massive attack as a result of an undetected brain tumor.

Damon Weaver has already interviewed Joe Biden and Caroline Kennedy, but the Florida fifth grader was denied press credentials to interview the president-elect. The aspiring journalist, who already has quite an accomplished resume, will board his first flight to Washington for the inauguration thanks to tickets from Congressman Alcee Hastings and donors who paid for his trip. The 10-year-old hopes to score an interview with Barack Obama and fulfill his dream.

Doctor Jaidan, medicine girl! Valerie Lujan was seven months pregnant and at home with her daughter, Jaidan, when she went into labor. The nine-year-old stayed calm and acted quickly to deliver her little brother.

Anthony Iglesia wants to be like Mike. The seven-year-old baller was in Santa Barbara attending Michael Jordan's basketball camp when the iconic athlete tapped him to play a game of two-on-two against another camper and San Antonio Spurs player, Tony Parker. The former duo beat the latter with young Anthony scoring the winning basket and just as many points as Jordan.

There are kids in college and child doctors, but it's your every day kid tricks that truly steal the show. My son has the remarkable ability to dash down the hall in my three-inch wedge heels before I have a chance to worry about him rolling his ankles. He can also belt out a scream (the kind that can disable a person's nervous system) for far longer than the most talented opera singer can hold a note.

Anyone who has ever played the "claw" game at an arcade knows just how difficult it is to get those pesky metal "fingers" to actually grasp a furry toy. While her parents were out of sight, a three–year–old lil girl outsmarted the game as she crawled into the machine and pawed all of the playful options. If seeing is believing, watch the clip above to see how she got out of the glass case.

If only children wore the suits in Washington. Second grader, Justice LeVecke, won a "Letter to the President" contest sponsored by musician and activist, Michael Franti. The precocious girl recently read her letter, which called for an end to war, at his concert.
