A woman's got to do what a woman's got to do. Whether she's stripping to pay for her daughter's education or arguing court cases in front of the Supreme Court, moms often find a way to make ends meet to take care of their cubs at home. Some mommies are more proud of their professions while others try to hide the truth from their children.

Motherhood brings a whole new perspective to a woman's life. Moms jump up to offer their seats to expectant ladies on the bus and rush to aid a lost child at a mall. It is in their nature to fawn over small smiles and get teary when they see a babe in need, but sometimes when they're feeling feisty enough, mamas can huff up and pull out the mommy guns on complete strangers.

Parenting is a dirty job, but someone has to do it. When it comes to diapering, many parents use the rule, "He who smelt it, changes it," which usually has both sides equally elbow deep in soiled nappies. If mama gets one thing crossed off her to-do list in a single day, she's done a good job. Most mothers will admit it's near impossible to keep up with school schedules, the grocery list, car maintenance, birthday parties and everything else relegated to dear old mom. On last night's "The Trip" episode of The Middle, daughter Sue Heck sells enough cheese and sausage for her school's fundraiser to earn her a trip to Indianapolis.

I know it is only a short while before my lil ones come home with bags of treats, so I wanted to try to make my own candy! Epicurious had a great recipe for a frightful version of buckeye candy; traditionally it is a peanut butter ball that is then coated in a thin layer of chocolate. With a little creative dunking and a bag of M&M's, these candies are transformed into a spooky, yet, scrumptious monster eyeball.

Pregnancy is to be celebrated but there are rare occasions when a woman tries to hide her expectant status to reap the benefits of a vacant womb, especially in the workplace. In the "Never Judge a Lady by Her Lover" episode of Desperate Housewives, Carlos gives Lynette a promotion that she initially tries to reject knowing she has two babies in her belly. When the boss man mentions the salary increase, she quickly takes the offer and keeps her mouth shut about her impending arrivals.

The word stoner doesn't necessarily conjure up the image of a working woman with a kid, but some mothers find that smoking a bowl allows them to find better balance between career and child. A recent article in Marie Claire included an interview with mama Rachel Murphy, who routinely inhales after she puts her young daughter to bed. In order to secure an insurance policy, the New Yorker had to resort to chugging Ready Clean, which her husband was none to thrilled about.
