If all the "sources" are correct, Arrested Development fans have something to celebrate today: The movie is a go!
Yup, I think I just blue myself.
The Hollywood Reporter is saying today that Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard are "
reportedly closing deals for the long-gestating project from Imagine and Fox Searchlight."

Competing in triathlons, having dinner dates with husbands, strolling with the kids and taking them to movie sets is all in a day's parenting in Tinseltown! Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Lopez showed off their athleticism as they powered their way through the 2008 Nautica Malibu Triathlon. Daddies Ben Affleck and Jason Bateman took their wee princesses to the set of their new movie Extract.

Ben Affleck was back on the set of
Extract in LA over the weekend and judging from Violet's pensive look, we may not be the only ones who aren't loving that wig. He was also joined by costar Mila Kunis, showing off her hot stems in tiny shorts. Jason Bateman helped round out the cast and also got a special visit on set from his wife and daughter.

It's back to work for Ben Affleck, who was spotted on the set of
Extract with Jason Bateman yesterday. He jumped right into character with his long curly hair to play a sleazy-sounding lawyer in the comedy, but luckily the scraggly wig was nowhere to be found when he met up with Jennifer to pick up Violet from school. It looks like Ben's hotness might not be a draw for this movie, but we're excited to see him flex those comedic muscles again.

At least he's in good company for this one:
Ben Affleck is in talks to join the cast of Extract, a comedy by Mike Judge (director of Office Space, creator of Beavis and Butthead). He'll be working alongside Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Mila Kunis and Clifton Collins, Jr.
Variety has more details:
Actor is in negotiations to play an ambulance-chasing lawyer in the pic, which centers on a flower extract factory owner (Jason Bateman) who's dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife's affair with a gigolo.

If there's one movie I'm anticipating the most at the moment it's
Tropic Thunder, and the male stars were out in force for last night's LA premiere. The movie promises Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, Steve Coogan and a career-reviving cameo from Tom Cruise – so, basically, I'm in. There were some great manly bonding moments at the premiere, with Tobey Maguire and Robert greeting each other, Robert nuzzling Ben's shoulder, Jack getting close to Nigel Lythgoe(?!) and
The Office co-stars Ed Helms and John Krasinski showed up on a Bromantic date.

Tropic Thunder has gathered
some boycotters over the past few days, but that didn't keep away Hollywood for last night's big red carpet premiere in LA. Fresh from a weekend of
rehearsals in NYC, Katie Holmes popped in on Tom's arm to help celebrate his
acclaimed cameo in the movie. Of course, the stars Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr.

I'm not totally sure who the intended audience is for
Hancock. The superhero aspect is campy enough for kids (and sometimes way too campy for adults), but there's definitely language that doesn't seem suitable for youngsters. Perhaps the teenagers will most enjoy the movie, though as an adult I liked it well enough and I certainly applaud what the story attempts to accomplish: tell a superhuman's story with the emphasis on the "human" experience.

After a trip around the world,
Hancock hit LA last night with a high profile premiere. The Smith family is quite the red carpet pack now,
perfecting the group pose for the camera — Jada was looking especially gorgeous in green — before Will was off to also pose with his costars. The next big movie star (at least in his head) Diddy was there as was Charlize nuzzling up to Stuart and Jason Bateman with his wife.

The stars of
Hancock swung by
TRL in NYC yesterday to ham it up for MTV. Will Smith and Charlize Theron had a little
fun at Jason Bateman's expense, but that sounds like the hardest time she's willing to give anyone. She recently
said, "I'm lazy and to be a diva takes a lot of energy and so that's why I don't do it.
