Nicole Richie Rocks Halston For a Fashionable House of Harlow Launch

Nicole Richie looked glamorous during an appearance in LA last night. She wore a shimmery Halston dress to launch her House of Harlow 1960 pop-up shop at the Ron Robinson boutique inside Fred Segal. Nicole showed off her designs, which included oversize sunglasses, bold necklaces, and sparkling cocktail rings, in front of fashionable friends and buyers. A portion of sales at the shop will benefit her Richie Madden Foundation. Nicole's work on the line was recently recognized when she was honored as "Influencer of the Year" at the ACE Awards in NYC. She's expanded beyond just the accessory collection with her Winter Kate clothing, and soon Nicole will be creating pieces for QVC as well. The TV retail collaboration comes out early next year to coincide with the premiere of Fashion Star.

Nicole Richie threw on a furry vest for a flight at LAX yesterday. The busy mom headed to NYC following a fun family week that included a day of dress up. Nicole and Joel Madden got into costume for Halloween with their kids Harlow and Sparrow on Monday after also donning outfits for a festive party last weekend. Nicole turned her attention to a different type of clothing recently, as she showed off her Winter Kate Spring 2012 collection. The bohemian line is just one of Nicole's projects, since she also creates accessories for House of Harlow 1960. Nicole's design work is being recognized this evening at the ACE Awards, where she'll take home the honor of "Influencer of the Year."

Nicole attended Kate Hudson's Halloween bash dressed as Jennifer Lopez while her husband Joel Madden went as writer Hunter S. Thompson. Nicole and Joel were back in costume as a pirate and a prince on Monday night to go trick-or-treating with their little ones. Harlow was decked out in a princess outfit and Sparrow rocked a cute pumpkin suit. They weren't the only celebrity family that got into the Halloween spirit since Jessica Alba and her crew celebrated the holiday, as did Alessandra Ambrosio and her daughter.

She channeled Jennifer Lopez in a hot-pink Juicy Couture track suit, and Joel went as writer Hunter S. Thompson, while other stars went all out with their outfits. Nicole Richie hit the gym in LA yesterday morning before stopping by a hair salon later in the day. She emerged with bright blond locks and carried a bottle of juice as she returned to her car. Nicole is back on the West Coast after taking a trip overseas with her family. Nicole, Joel Madden, Harlow, and Sparrow showed up in London for Disney's Princess Royal Court Celebration and then Nicole and Joel went to France for Fashion Week. They watched Kate Moss walk the runway for Louis Vuitton in Paris and also checked out the Eiffel Tower during their visit. The Richie-Madden clan is home just in time to start prepping for Halloween since they are just one of the many famous families that hit the pumpkin patch during the festive Fall season.
