Nicole Richie and Joel Madden headed to a park in LA Saturday with their well-dressed toddlers, Harlow and Sparrow. Harlow sprinted toward the jungle gym in one of her ballerina tutus before testing out the swings with help from Joel. Sparrow hung with Nicole on a teeter-totter and explored a sandbox while showing some pride for the Phillies, who are based not far from Joel's Maryland hometown. The foursome were joined by family friend and Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo as well as her daughter, Stella. It was a fun afternoon for busy parents Nicole and Joel. Nicole's been hard at work on her House of Harlow and Winter Kate lines, while Joel's prepping to hit the road again with Good Charlotte over the Summer in Indonesia.

Nicole Richie looked glamorous during an appearance in LA last night. She wore a shimmery Halston dress to launch her House of Harlow 1960 pop-up shop at the Ron Robinson boutique inside Fred Segal. Nicole showed off her designs, which included oversize sunglasses, bold necklaces, and sparkling cocktail rings, in front of fashionable friends and buyers. A portion of sales at the shop will benefit her Richie Madden Foundation. Nicole's work on the line was recently recognized when she was honored as "Influencer of the Year" at the ACE Awards in NYC. She's expanded beyond just the accessory collection with her Winter Kate clothing, and soon Nicole will be creating pieces for QVC as well. The TV retail collaboration comes out early next year to coincide with the premiere of Fashion Star.

Nicole turned her attention to a different type of clothing recently, as she showed off her Winter Kate Spring 2012 collection. The bohemian line is just one of Nicole's projects, since she also creates accessories for House of Harlow 1960. Nicole's design work is being recognized this evening at the ACE Awards, where she'll take home the honor of "Influencer of the Year."

The starlet headed south for the appearance shortly after Joel Madden returned to LA from the overseas leg of his Good Charlotte tour. While he was away, Nicole stayed busy with their little ones, Harlow and Sparrow, at home, but also took some time out for herself. She was spotted fitting in some workouts with celebrity fitness guru Tracy Anderson, and also hit up a Prince concert with her girlfriends before hopping on a plane to show off her new designs this afternoon.
