A beautiful babe to go with the fancy name! Nicole Richie and her lil darling, Harlow Winter Kate Madden make their mama/daughter debut on the cover of this weekend's People. The baby's daddy is Good Charlotte front man, Joel Madden.

Like most new mums, the celebutant says having a child has changed everything. But, she also dishes up the basics from length of labor to breastfeeding. The nursing mama said:

You think you have to cut everything out when you're pregnant, but you really have to cut everything out when you're breastfeeding.

It's confirmed! Celebmama Nicole Richie and her crooning man Joel Madden added another babe to their brood early this morning. Like his older sister, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, the boy has a quadruple moniker - Sparrow James Midnight Madden. We can't wait to get a glimpse of the lil rock star and wish the family all the best during this special time.

Some parents have their baby names picked out long before they ever meet their spouse. Others stumble upon a name by accident and decide it's a perfect moniker for their tot. However the life–long label is agreed upon, it usually has meaning and purpose behind it.

Jessica Alba chose Honor because it was, well, an honor to have her husband Cash's baby. Baby Levi McConaughey was named after a prophet in the Bible and Harlow Winter Kate Madden was inspired by the famous Hollywood actress Jean Harlow and model Shalom Harlow. While some of them seem a bit bizarre and atypical, they may end up suiting their owner just right.

Trends come in threes or is it fours? Last week's births of Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell's twins, Dolly Rebecca Rose O'Connell and Charlie Tamara Tulip O'Connell, as well as Bristol Palin's baby, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, I think we may be on to something - the four-named child. These new parents aren't the only ones around Hollywood (and Alaska) to jump on the bandwagon. Over the past year we have welcomed Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Harlow Winter Kate Madden. For many, it is hard enough to pick out two names, I can't imagine having to choose a third!
Will we be seeing more babies with four name monikers in the future?

Babies babies everywhere! Cedars–Sinai must be fighting off the paparazzi today with all of the baby buzz going around. Famous for being famous, Nicole Richie and Good Charlotte front man, Joel Madden welcomed a baby girl in Los Angeles. People reports that Harlow Winter Kate Madden came into their lives on Friday, January 11 weighing 6 lbs and 7oz.

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are also expected to deliver any minute at the same hospital. Stay tuned.

Babies Are Saving Hollywood's Wildest Ones One Birth at a Time

Former girls gone wild are the latest to join Tinseltown's hottest new "it" club - motherhood. Being single and sassy in Hollywood is still trendy, but apparently nothing gets rags off the rack faster than baby bumps and family additions. Angelina Jolie was a wild child who tamed down her life with the adoption of first son, Maddox. Following in her footsteps, club rat Nicole Richie and former child actor and meth addict Jodi Sweetin had daughters. The former Simple Life star credits baby Harlow Kate Madden with saving her life.

Certainly the transition into motherhood requires most new moms to shift from self–centered lifestyles to totcentric ones. While having a baby means added responsibility, it by no means makes you less crazy. If anything, it's likely to drive you more insane as you lose sleep, listen to Elmo, and drive carpool with Sesame Street blaring in the background.

In the page turner Accidentally on Purpose, Mary Pols writes on the prospect of single motherhood:

I knew [my friends] has my best interest at heart, but it seemed as though they were recommending I go climb Everest without any oxygen tank. It was obvious from observing them that motherhood was hard as hell. At my monthly book club, half the mothers in the room would be bursting into tears over sleep deprivation or some trauma involving a negligent nanny. The other half would be vague as to what it was we'd read; they'd blame their dulled memories on breastfeeding hormones. One friend with an infant couldn't cope with the strains of motherhood at all; she retreated into the garage and sat on the washing machine doing bong hits between diaper changes. And they all had husbands. With jobs. And nice houses. Why would I ever want to undertake this on my own?

While some stars (Britney Spears and Courtney Love) could take a page from Angelina or Nicole's book, I just hope motherhood is something that keeps their feet on solid ground.

On Friday night, proud new parents Joel Madden and Nicole Richie stepped out for a night on the town – just two weeks after welcoming Harlow Kate into their lives. Mama Richie looks pretty darn good for just delivering a baby!

I was too worn out to even think about hitting the party circuit that soon.

We Think It's a Boy For Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman!

Update: According to People magazine, Christina and Jordan welcomed their son, Max Liron Bratman on Saturday night at 10:05 p.m. It said:

"Despite various media reports that Aguilera had her baby on Friday, Max – 6 lbs., 2 oz. and 20.5 inches – arrived late on Saturday night in L.A."

According to Life&Style, the platinum blond soul singing mama Christina Aquilera and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed a baby boy into their lives at Los Angeles's Cedars–Sinai earlier today. We are still waiting for a credible source to confirm it and give us the scoop on the name and other stats.

I wonder if Baby Bratman and Harlow Winter Kate Madden had any singing contests in the maternity ward.

We wish them all the best and hope that parenthood is joy and bliss.
