I know it is only a short while before my lil ones come home with bags of treats, so I wanted to try to make my own candy! Epicurious had a great recipe for a frightful version of buckeye candy; traditionally it is a peanut butter ball that is then coated in a thin layer of chocolate. With a little creative dunking and a bag of M&M's, these candies are transformed into a spooky, yet, scrumptious monster eyeball.

One of the best gifts any parent can give their child is the love for reading. Reading experts often encourage new parents to introduce their newborns to books starting on day one. Whether it's the newspaper, a magazine, or Goodnight Moon, they say that the ritual and inflection are often what matters most.

Getting a reservation at Nobu or the Waverly Inn may leave mainstream mamas dining at local eateries, but there's hardly a velvet rope when it comes to a child's dining spot. Even Alexander Schreiber seems to eat like the rest of our tots — in a high chair.
Sure his seating may be on the nicer side, but it's not gold plated or bedazzled with diamonds.

The public airing of family laundry is always awkward, but Candy Spelling took it to a new level yesterday when she took a stab at daughter, Tori in a piece she wrote about the revenge of children for the parenting blog, Babble. Perhaps, the initial shock was that it came in the form of an appreciation of infamous Mommie Dearest, Joan Crawford, whom the widow of television mogul, Aaron Spelling says she pities.
While Candy does cite Joan's career milestones, it's hard for today's generation of moms and dads to get past the movie star's association with wire hangers.

Tori Spelling is a Mott's mama. In addition to raising two children, the actress-turned-reality star-turned-author has teamed up with the apple juice and sauce company to create a downloadable playdate planner for mothers looking to simplify their kids' social calendars.
Best known for playing Donna Martin on her father's mega hit, Beverly Hills 90210, the star has strayed from her glitzy upbringing to create a down-to-earth foundation for her own party of five — husband, Dean McDermott, stepson, Jack, 9, son, Liam, 17-months and two-month-old daughter, Stella.

Stocking up for baby is similar to gathering supplies for an emergency kit, you never really know what's missing until disaster strikes.
Sure, people suggested I prepare while pregnant and I felt secure with my stack of onesies and tower of receiving blankets, but I completely forgot about myself. For all you moms-to-be, these were my three biggest mistakes.

Parents tell children not to take candy from strangers, yet they buy breast milk for their babies on the Internet.
Women peddling the liquid gold for up to $4 an ounce plus shipping and handling aren't that hard to find online.
One supplier priced her milk at $2 an ounce in a recent post on Craigslist.
