Last week I told you my little cousins who are visiting from LA are dying to go to the amusement park Great America. I haven't been to an amusement park in years, so I needed help finding an appropriate outfit. Overall, I said I want to look youthful but not silly. My heart goes out to the adrenaline junkies who got stuck on a ride last Monday . . .

Though my daughter was dressed in pink duds and floral prints for the first 18 months of her life, people would stop and say, "Oh, HE is so cute!" I thanked them for the compliment and wondered how they didn't notice her frilly get-ups. Desperate to put bows in her hair, none were capable of pulling back the few wisps she had on her nearly bald head.

But, now a couple more strands of hair were all we needed for Ribbies. Hair clips for little girls are darn cute these days. I remember having long ribbon ones that my mom made for me when I was little. I loved them and wish I knew how to make them myself. Perhaps, I'll find out over the holidays and share that with you on my next Kidoodles.
