Tis' the season to be shopping. Sure you'll get some great gifts later this month, but these are must haves for right now.

The Grinch turned 50-years-old on Saturday, National Grinch Day! Make sure to get your special 50th edition of Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas ($25) and cozy up with the family for story time. While the pages might get tattered and torn, the story remains relevant and entertaining year after year.
Flaunt your pregnancy curves in an Isabella Oliver outfit. She makes sleek and affordable designs for expectant mothers. So treat yourself to a fab new dress ($155 – $265) and feel divine at all of those holiday festivities.

When you head out for holiday parties and leave your lil ones with the sitter, there are some fun ways to keep them entertained and in the holiday spirit.

Purchase a minitree with some small ornaments and have the kids decorate the small tree.
Make shaving-cream snowmen - Place newspaper down on a table. Spray shaving cream all over the entire table for the kids to make their very own snowmen. This is really easy to do and easy to clean up. . . . and the kids will love the mess!
Make jingle-bell necklaces – Have bright colored jingles placed in bowls on a table, and also have varying lengths of satin ribbon cut off so the kids can string the bells into necklaces, bracelets, even a ring.
Read the tale of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas ($14) – a favorite this time of year! And then have a contest: Who can undecorate the minitree the quickest! Just like the Grinch!

Lil Tip: Holiday Movies

For everyone who grew up watching the traditional holiday movies -'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Frosty's Winter Wonderland and The Year Without Santa Claus, ABC Family Channel is airing all of them during its 25 Days of Christmas movie marathon beginning December 1. In addition to the nostalgic films, the line-up also includes modern favorites like The Polar Express and Dr. Seuss: How the Grinch Stole Christmas. So make a bowl of popcorn, settle in on the couch with your kids and kick off the season with some great flicks and family time.
