Model Mamas Hit the Runway For Victoria's Secret

Host, shmost! Heidi Klum claimed she was only going to host the always anticipated Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but the mama of four made a surprise appearance and walked her hot self down the runway with her tulleriffic attire. Having given birth to her second daughter, Lou, just over a month ago, she left the crowd in shock and awe. Also in attendance on the catwalk? Alessandra Ambrosio. The leggy new mom bared her toned tummy and long stems alongside veteran Klum. The pair certainly left some mums green with envy.

A couple of ladies noticeably absent from the show? Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova, and Adriana Lima. Gisele is still sporting her adorable baby bump, while the other two glamorous mommies just welcomed their bundles of joy weeks ago. If you are a mother who plays by the rules, put a little punch into this conservative wardrobe by adding your own splash of color to these buttoned up basics. With a few simple pieces that require little thought during the morning rush, you can mix and match your way to the head of the class.

For a simple and sweet relaxed mommy look, put a twist on the classic cardigan with this Merino Maya sweater, a pair of cropped corduroys, and a Tory Burch flat that will look pretty even when you are making a mad dash to get the kids into school on time.

Growing up, my mom, grandmother and aunts would take our costume requests and fashion them from scratch.

Today, many mothers forgo sewing machines in favor of store-bought costumes that come complete with every bell and whistle needed to help lil ones achieve the look they want. By heading to the store, parents can address their children's last minute changes.
