Jane Austen's Emma: The Hip-Hop Musical

Hey, reimagining Jane Austen's novel Emma so it takes place in SoCal and centers on a valley girl worked for Clueless, so I guess why not make a hip-hop version of the classic work? Set in a contemporary inner-city high school, this tweaked version of Emma will revolve around a stepbrother and stepsister and "will include at least 15 song-and-dance numbers." Variety has more:

Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper said he came up with the idea for Emma, which will likely be redubbed Emme, after watching the music video "Lip Gloss" by Lil Mama.

"Now it's urban," Culpepper said. "This is the way it should be reimagined in the new millennium."

The inner-city high school setting is one thing - certainly no more far-fetched than Beverley Hills - but the 15 song-and-dance numbers is a whole other thing. I'll be extremely curious to see how this turns out.

Darling Emma is the Sugarbaby of the week!

This sweetheart just turned four last month but her mom said she already thinks she's a teenager! She is a generous girl who likes to take care of others around her – her siblings, dolls, and preschool friends. As a matter of fact, she claims, "I have so many friends because I take care of everyone." Sounds like a good lil helper.

Some of her favorite things in life are her Little Mermaid doll, lip glosses, chocolate milk, and Baskin Robbins. Like a true Sugar fan, Emma loves Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry," American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Office. Mom says Steve Carrell's character Michael Scott really tickles her. Aside from listening to tunes, Emma likes to dance while her mom is cooking in the kitchen. Her mama says that her latest trick is jumping in the air and landing in a split – yikes! And being the mature little girl that she is, Emma loves to talk to her mother with one hand on her hip, right leg extended out and head cocked to the opposite side.

This sassy lil thing still has a sensitive side. She is afraid of the dark and dogs after being bitten by one two years ago. However, her mother says that if her brother has to go down a dark hallway, Emma will swallow the fear, take him by the hand, and lead him down it.

Men in Black 3: A Return to (Alien Life) Form

I saw the original Men in Black movie so long ago that my memories of the film might as well have been zapped with a neuralyzer (that's the memory-erasing device the guys use in the movie, for those of you who are also having trouble recalling the original). What I did retain is that the film was funny, fresh, and silly and that it didn't hold up very well for the 2002 sequel. With that in mind, I had low expectations for Men in Black 3, but the newest installment is just as much fun as the original, and it actually benefits from the 15-year time lapse.

The script for the film is one of its biggest assets and truly sets Men in Black 3 apart from its predecessors. The aliens are still alive and ickier than ever now that they're in 3D, but the story is more focused on the friendship between J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) and how it has evolved over the years. We learn early on that K has been keeping a secret from J all these years, and the mystery drives a wedge between the partners. Meanwhile, a treacherous alien named Boris the Animal (played to hilarious perfection by Flight of the Conchords's Jemaine Clement) breaks out of maximum-security prison and goes back in time to get revenge on K, who arrested him back in the '60s. The day that K had Boris locked up is the key to K's secret, so J heads on a mission back in time to save K and learn the truth.

Will Smith hasn't been in a movie since 2008's Seven Pounds, and I didn't realize I missed him until I found myself giggling all the way through Men in Black 3. His shtick is still the same (he's one-liners still consistent of dialogue like "Where did you come from? Planet damn?"), but you can't help but love Agent J as he bumbles through the '60s, desperately trying to sell his story to people who don't recognize him - or believe him. You can tell that Smith feels completely comfortable in the role, and in the signature suit, which still looks perfect on him, as he hasn't aged a day.

Tommy Lee Jones is ever the reliable curmudgeon, but the film mines extra laughs when J travels to the '60s and meets a much younger version of his partner, played by Josh Brolin. Brolin looks enough like Jones to pass for him, but it's really his studied delivery and mannerisms that sell the performance. We also get some insight into how K has evolved over the years (he's always had a penchant for cowboy music, but he also used to be a bit of a dreamer), giving the film an extra layer to the enjoyable banter between J and K.

I'm not usually one to gush about 3D, but the special effects really come to life in Men in Black 3 in a way they never did in the first two movies. Not only do the aliens look creepier than ever, but the cartoonish feel of the film is taken to the next level with the 3D aspect, especially with the time-travel thrill-ride element. Much like with the 3D movies from my youth, I found myself shrinking in my seat just to avoid being too close to the alien goo, blood, breath, and beyond. Combined with the welcome return of Will Smith, you've got yourself a fun, mindless blockbuster.

Copy Cameron Diaz's Captivating Kitten Eye

Cameron Diaz dressed with flirtatious flair in a Catwoman-esque pantsuit at yesterday's UK premiere of What to Expect When You're Expecting. And makeup artist Emma Lovell topped off her ensemble with a cat-eye look filled with feminine charm. "The makeup was designed to complement Cameron's cream Stella McCartney jumpsuit, her choppy blond bob, and her dramatic earrings," Lovell said. "I wanted a cute feline eye to be the main attraction, keeping the lips pretty and fresh with a plum stain."

To do this, Lovell used the Hourglass Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Gypsy ($38) to create a glistening neutral eye. She started by applying the sheer shimmering shade on the lids, followed by the bronze tone in the creases and on top of the lash lines. For definition, Lovell then applied Hourglass Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner ($32). "I started with a very thin line at the inner corner of the eye and made it thicker as I went along, kicking it out for a subtle kitten eye," Lovell explained. "After the liquid liner, I went back along the line with the deep copper shadow to soften it - it's not so retro that way." Finish off with mascara and a set of full falsies (a woman's version of cat whiskers).
