Bad-boy-gone-good Colin Farrell is about to expand his brood. The doting father of James, 5, confirmed his expectant status at the Toronto Film Festival with US Weekly. This will be the first child for the mum-to-be, Alicja Bachleda.

Ladies' man Colin Farrell may have women swooning, but it's clear his priority is his lil boy. The actor's son James, who turns five this month, has his father's fine facial features. The duo shares similar bone structure, pursed lips, defined noses, inquisitive expressions and of course, that signature twinkle in the eye. We bet the boy will also inherit his daddy's heart - it was recently announced that Colin and fellow fathers, Jude Law and Johnny Depp, donated their salaries from The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus to Matilda Ledger.

The lil girl who lost her daddy to a tragic death last year will benefit from the loving gift of three other fathers. Heath Ledger died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in January and his will had not been updated to include his two-year-old daughter. The late actor was in the midst of filming The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus so three actors -Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell - stepped in to finish playing his role. Beyond making good on Heath's acting commitment, the men, who are all fathers, donated their salaries to the child.

But since the birth of his son James, which is Colin's middle name, Hollywood's devilish leading man has revealed a softer, caring side.

In September 2004, Colin Farrell and his ex–girlfriend Kim Bordenave welcomed their darling son into their lives. While the parents union was not set to last, that of father and son has endured and continues to grow stronger.

The famous Dubliner's son James was diagnosed with a neuro–genetic disorder called Angelman's Syndrome, which is often characterized with developmental delays, stiff, jerky gait, absent speech, excessive laughter and seizures. Previously afraid to discuss his son too much in public, Farrell has taken advantage of his time in the spotlight to discuss the chromosomal defect. As reported in People, he said:

I didn't talk about my son [but] I felt like I was betraying him, like it could be misconstrued as shame, which would be terrible, because he's such a celebration.

It's just different. It's not different to me. He has his own path. He's just brilliant. He's nothing but a gift. As far as I'm concerned he's exactly the way he should be."

Clearly the rugged foreigner is delectable eye candy, but his efforts to raise awareness of Angelman's Syndrome have earned him Sugardaddy status.
