Abigail Breslin: Top Role Model for Lil Girls

If you've seen Little Miss Sunshine, you'll understand my obsession with the positively charming Abigail Breslin.

The extraordinarily talented actress has mad acting skills that are sure to take her far in Tinseltown. More importantly, she seems to have a good head on her small shoulders.

A breath of fresh air from other young actresses, Abigail wore what any typical 11–year–old (soon to be 12) girl would on a Wednesday afternoon – a red polka–dot dress over a graphic tee paired with some comfy cute flip flops.

Even as she was inducted into The Girl Scouts of the USA as an honorary member, she couldn't be swayed to lap on make–up or sport an overdone dress.

I'd like my son to look like Brad Pitt please. A Los Angeles-based sperm bank is stretching the potential of star power by listing the celebrities that donors look the most like. They also link to pictures of the actors, singers and designers in their donor profiles. According to California Cryobank, the question most frequently asked by female clients is who the donor looks like and through their Look-A-Like program, potential mothers have a better idea of what characteristics their child may have. Since beginning the program, web traffic has increased significantly. I'm curious who and what decide the resemblance factor.

As parents we all make mistakes, but are you willing to learn from someone else's? Alec Baldwin thinks so. The famed actor who became infamous for an abrasive voicemail he left his daughter, Ireland, in 2007, is now considering penning a parenting book. In an interview with Playboy magazine, Baldwin discussed the notorious message, how he and the child repaired their relationship and why moms and dads need to take a long look at how they parent. Alec said:

It will be ironic for some people, but I’m going to write a parenting book. We’re at, not a crisis, but an awful place right now in terms of parenting. People are raising their children with the belief that we need to be friends with our children. Kids have too much power and call too many of the shots, telling their parents what they will and won’t do.

The actor is not the first adult to question current child rearing philosophies, but do you consider him an authority on the subject?

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves Expecting Again!

Levi's going to be a big brother! Sugardaddy Matthew McConaughey is so taken with fatherhood that he and his girlfriend Camila Alves are giving it another go! According to the actor's website, the couple is expecting another child. He said:

"Happy Father's Day. It's my first, and the last 11 months with Levi and Camila have been the most rewarding adventure to date. We have more blessed news to celebrate this Father's Day that [will] make this time next year double the fun. Levi is going to be a big brother . . . Yeah, we pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time, Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows . . ."

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick Introduce Twins

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick introduced the newest additions to their family, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge this evening. The twins, born on June 22 via a surrogate, join big brother James Wilkie, 6, at the family's home in New York City. When the actors announced their impending twins, they discussed their struggle to conceive another child and their decision to turn to a surrogate. We can only hope that the new cuties don't fight too much over their mom's closet full of goodies!

Eric Mabius and Laboring Wife Had Hectic Cab Ride to Hospital

Daniel Meade may get himself out of sticky situations on Ugly Betty, but actor Eric Mabius who plays the magazine heir and his wife, Ivy, had a crazy New York cab ride trying to get to the hospital for the birth of their second child back in December. The father of two talked about the ordeal - their taxi running out of gas en route - in the latest issue of Life & Style. He said:

We had to pull over to the side of the highway. The driver got out and started waving his hands to hail another cab.”

The couple made it to the hospital and after just 90 minutes of labor, their boy bundle of joy, Rylan, arrived weighing in at a whopping 10 pounds, 3 ounces. The couple that also have 1-year-old son, Maxfield, aren't sure if they will continue to add to their family.
