President Obama held on to his personal BlackBerry for as long as it was possible and it seems he's also a fan of texting. Today, the White House announced its new mobile health service for expectant and new mommies. It said:
Here’s how it works: women who sign up for the service by texting BABY to 511411 (or BEBE for Spanish) receive three free SMS text messages each week timed to their due date or baby’s date of birth.

Before LilSugar welcomes her third bebe, we decided to throw a fete in her honor. Not wanting to mess with pale pinks and blues, we went for brighter hues to celebrate the sweet mommy. Orange and green were the colors of choice, which proved to be a fan favorite amongst the baby shower revelers.

While homemade baby food may be back en vogue, mamas know how much time and effort it takes to steam and puree baby's first solid foods. Baby cookbook authors claim that the purees take just a little more forethought than their store-bought counterparts, but factor in the prep and cleanup time and it's easy to see why many busy parents and caretakers turn to jarred goods.
For parents with limited time and cooking skills who still wish to give their lil one's the freshest and most healthy first foods, we've rounded up some of the best mass market chilled and frozen baby food available.

Excited to show off their new bambino at a sip-and-see shower, mothers also look forward to having friends and family dote on their babe for a few hours so they can relax. Mommies should plan to shock and awe their friends with a fresh, fabulous, and fashionable glow while feeling comfortable and at ease. A chic nursing bra and blouse paired with elastic-waist pants will do the job.

I had one of those mornings where everything was lined up and orchestrated for a quick and organized exit with my two kids. We were dressed, breakfast had been consumed and my daughter was ready for her early morning dentist appointment. I nursed my son and packed my work bag.

This past week I asked all you cautious parents out there to share your favorite sunscreen brands and let us know what you like about them. You bookmarked your favorite brands in the Lil Marks on TeamSugar with the keyword tag, "sunscreen for kids."
sofi picked a brand I've always been curious about: Mustela Sun Lotion, Bebe High Protection SPF 50, $15.
