This picture was taken as my daughter enjoyed her first true Thanksgiving meal. She picked at the turkey but gobbled up the sweet potatoes, cranberries and the delicious stuffing. Though her brother was only days old, she gave thanks for being a big sister. In turn, we gave thanks for having a sweet daughter and a brand-new baby boy.

Look Who's Expecting: Tiffani Thiessen and Brady Smith

It looks like the Peach Pitt clan has another baby to add to the brood. Actress Tiffani Thiessen and hubby Brady Smith are expecting their first baby this Spring. Her rep told People:

We are over the moon! It's something we've wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it's actually happening.

It wasn't that long ago when the mama-to-be chatted about putting motherhood on hold for her career. She said, "I don’t want to spring a pregnancy on a brand new show that I just got on." Well, apparently her secret has sprung and now we'll have to wait and see how they manage her bump into the White Collars story line. Will they work it into her character or hide it away behind bags and pizza boxes?

The only thing better than a naked baby is one wearing soft threads. I don't know much about the Korean language but if it's as logical as this one word, I have a feeling I'll like it: eggi means baby. I love the simplicity and cuteness of it, much like the company that includes it in their brand: Baby Eggi.

Do You Try to Keep Characters and Logos Out of Baby's Sight?

Elmo, Dora, Mickey and Pooh – the characters that appear on our boob tubes are often found running around the playground too. Try as we might to shield our innocent children from the images available on cable television, network TV commercials and online media, just take a walk outside and you are sure to be bombarded by characters and logos that look like they jumped right off the screen.

According to the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, marketing directly to children has increased from $100 million in 1983 to more than $17 billion today. By the age of six months, a baby can form a mental image of a corporate logo or mascot, making them able to request those brands by the time they can speak. While wooden toys have increased in popularity due to their safer manufacturing processes, they have not outweighed the popularity of character-driven choices that flood the market. Do you try to shield your lil ones from commercial characters and logos?

Does Your Child Watch Baby DVDs?

The name says it all. Parents who wanted their child to be the smartest kid on the block loaded up on the brainy Baby Einstein DVDs hoping to boost their babe's brainpower. Some parents popped in the educational videos to gain an extra 20 minutes to themselves. No matter their intention, unsatisfied customers will be able to get their money back. The Walt Disney Company is offering a refund to anyone who purchased a Baby Einstein DVD between June 5, 2004 and September 4, 2009 ($15.99/DVD for up to four videos). This comes after a class action lawsuit was threatened against the brand for claiming the Baby Einstein DVDs are educational, especially as studies have found that TV time for little ones under the age of 3-years old is associated with attention problems later in life.

Still, many parents feel there is nothing wrong with a little downtime in front of the small screen and find these gentle cartoons to be good entertainment for their wee ones. Does your toddler or baby watch DVDs?

Deciding on a Bottle For My Baby-to-Be: Weil Baby

Bottoms up! When it comes time to move baby from breast to bottle, there are a lot of options on the market. When my son was born, I swore by a barely known brand of bottles that quickly gained momentum after the Bisphenol A scare called BornFree. The non-toxic containers didn't leak and had sippy cups made in their likeness so my child was able to easily transition to a big boy cup at about 4 to 5 months old. While I'm still a fan, there's a new line on the market that I'm equally impressed by and considering for my baby-to-be - Weil Baby. Having read a few of the renowned health experts books, I was anxious to check out Dr. Andrew Weil's bottles, training cups, brushes, and silicone nipples and pacifiers. Though creating modern eye candy wasn't his intent, the line's ergonomic lines will be popular with design conscious parents as well as eco-friendly families. Made from glass and Tritan, a clear BPA free material, the bottles ($18 - $19 for a 2pk) have a built-in venting system (no tedious washing!) that helps eliminate gas bubbles and colic in kiddos. Opinions Please! What's Your Stroller Recommendation?

The difference between a mad woman and a happy mother? Her stroller. I'd go so far as to say it's the single most important material purchase parents make for their baby since they use it all the time. As we prep for baby number three, we'll be purchasing our fourth buggy. Clueless of what to look for, we went through two with our daughter. First, we shelled out for an elaborate system that couldn't handle the city streets and had poor shocks and squeaky wheels after our first lengthy walk. Then, we invested in a jogging stroller that was great...until we had to turn it - its front wheel was stationary.

While expecting my son, I did my research before buying (the then largely unknown) phil & teds E3 with the doubles kit. For three years, the amazing invention rolled everywhere from Lake Tahoe's nature trails to my husband taking it off-roading over rocks in Golden Gate Park. The orange fabric has endured more than a few mud and chocolate milk splashes and my lil guy eventually preferred to walk (read run) everywhere so the beloved buggy has retired to our garage. My husband and I want our soon-to-be infant to have a fresh, clean carriage so we're figuring out what to get next. Our needs are a bit different than before - the stroller will be mostly for the new babe, but I want the convenience of an attachable seat in case my son hits the hay when I head out shopping or want to walk long distances to shed postpartum pounds. Living in a city full of cracked sidewalks and pot holes makes durable tires a must and I don't need a ride that accommodates an infant car seat since we'll be using our Britax Boulevard from the get go. Since I'll be juggling three kiddos in parking lots, I'll also need a buggy that is quick to collapse and easy to pop in the trunk.
