I think the high level of rain we're currently experiencing in the UK makes this weeks Fab Finding challenge more than appropriate! I asked you to put together an April Showers outfit and you did a great job.
Starting off with these slightly ridiculous
Burberry wellies you were required to put together a look which would keep you dry.

'Tis the last day of April, which means our
April Baby Showers must come to an end. But before you go off to plan your own festive bash, here's a quick recap of our ideas.
Good Things Come in Small Packages
We gave you ideas for
invitations and then dished on what to
serve up and what to
serve it on.

I threw a baby shower for my
bedrest friend yesterday. And, I employed a few of lilsugar's
April Showers tips to create the ambiance for this special party.

Like any other fete, there should be ample food at a couples cocktail party and of course, a signature drink to wash the nibbles down.
Ask the bartender to concoct a beverage that reflects both the baby and the parents-to-be. If the nursery is in shades of pink and the father-to-be is a fan of Stoli, perhaps a renamed vodka cran fits the bill.

I love couples showers because they give men, especially the papa–to–be, a chance to bask in the pregnancy spotlight.
And generally, the showers are like any other festive affair — just with an additional purpose — celebrating an impending arrival.

British weather is always unpredictable but April is especially bad, particularly with the showers we're currently experiencing! Therefore, it's great to have a chic outfit for rainy days, one that won't leave you cold and wet (so no ballet pumps!)
We
featured these boots earlier today so I'll start you off with a black pair of
wellington boots from Burberry (£175) which are surely the chicest way to keep your toes dry.
Let's go
Fab Finding!

Move over carriages and baby bottles, we're throwing a baby shower for guys and gals to attend this week. Many friends of first-time parents are often still single and sometimes weirded out by the fact that their buddy is about to have a babe. Starting with the invitation, set the tone for this celebration with a twist.

We've dedicated the entire month of April to planning showers of all kinds, but if you've been nominated (or volunteered) to plan a baby shower for a friend or relative you should start with the basics.
Once you've picked your
venue, theme and invites it's time to move onto the really fun part.
The small details like menu, music and party favors are often what make a great party wonderful and allow you to pay homage to the mommy-to-be's taste and personality.

Last week I asked all you savvy shoppers and Internet researchers out there to come
PetMarking with me and scope out jackets that would protect our pups from wet weather! This
sweet sailor raincoat petmarked by
wren was an immediate favorite of mine. The
preppy nautical look would look great on a sailboating adventure with my pooch and def keep him safe from those inevitable
April showers!

Planning a baby shower can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. All you have to do is organize a gathering that makes the mommy-to-be happy and feel celebrated. Location scouting, invitations and worry aside, it's always more fun than it sounds.
