America's favorite girl, Abigail Breslin, showcased her sassy sense of 12-year-old style at the New York premiere of Kit Kittredge: American Girl. Looking every bit her age and like quite the lil lady in a gorgeous, sparkly Yana Brink couture dress, which was accented at the waist and had a decadently ruffed skirt that any woman would envy.
The actress, who stars as Kit, paired it with complementary peep toed shoes by BCBG Girls.

While we rested, Tinseltown families played — hustling to parties, premieres and the Kids' Choice Awards. Jennifer Meyer and Ruby celebrated with Nicole Richie and Harlow. Will Smith and his clan strutted down the orange carpet.

If you've seen Little Miss Sunshine, you'll understand my obsession with the positively charming Abigail Breslin.
The extraordinarily talented actress has mad acting skills that are sure to take her far in Tinseltown. More importantly, she seems to have a good head on her small shoulders.

My Sister's Keeper is a must see for mothers. Bring a box of tissues and prepare to empty your tear ducts during the entire experience. Unlike most films that escalate this one puts a lump into your throat just moments after starting.

He caught our eye as Charlie Simms, the kind hearted collegian, playing opposite Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman and young ladies swooned when he broke up a Circle of Friends as Jack Foley. Chris O'Donnell is the quintessential American male with conventional good looks, smarts and the friendly disposition of the boy, now man, next door. He's the kind of guy that men and mothers like.

Women may have Sex and the City this summer, but girls have Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. While the former blockbuster is all about love and labels, the latter release focuses on history and the homefront. And, for every Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha — there's been a precocious character like Kit Kittredge who paved the way.

When I watched Little Miss Sunshine again over the weekend, I remembered why I loved the movie so much. The scene where Abigail Breslin boogied down the runway and unintentionally made a mockery of the pageantry process, left me in stitches.
But, it also reminded of the people who take pageants seriously and put their hearts, time and money into making sure their daughters get crowned.
