This year's Cannes Film Festival has begun, and while I expected to see a bevy of glamorous international stars and starlets, I didn't expect to see Lady Gaga! The eccentric pop singer is performing "Judas" at the opening ceremony tonight, and she's using her biker babe ensemble to promote the May 17 release of her new album, Born This Way. Lady Gaga's latest music video for "Judas" has just arrived, and as the title implies, it has enough religious imagery to make Madonna proud. Gaga herself plays a hot biker babe version of Mary Magdalene while The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus plays Judas. The theatrical factor is high on this one, with a crowd of elaborately costumed dancers gyrating as Gaga trains her gun on Judas, then ceremoniously washes Jesus's feet. It's quite a bit less weird than Lady Gaga's video for "Born This Way," but it's no less dramatic.

Motherhood can be mind-boggling! Beaner submitted this question in our The Mommy Club group.
Like most newborns, my little one loved being held all the time. But I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to get anything done if my arms were continuously full of baby. I tried a bunch of carriers – the Baby Bjorn, Ergo, a ring sling, and a Mei Tai. None of them could compare with the ease, safety, and comfort of the Moby Wrap. I loved mine so much, I had to buy a second one. It's the gift I always show up with for baby showers because I feel it's a must have for new moms, one I honestly could not have lived without it. Here are five reasons why:

It's inexpensive and washable. At $40 a pop, you can afford to have two, so when one gets spit up on, you can use the clean one while the other is in the wash.
It feels the best on your back. Seriously, I have gone on a four-hour hike with the Moby and not a stitch of back pain. It's lightweight and doesn't feel at all bulky like some of the other carriers. The best part is that it allows the weight or your baby to be distributed evenly over both shoulders and your hips so you don't feel strained. And because the material is stretchy, it hugs your baby close to you so they feel amazingly secure. I could easily bend over to pick up a dropped toy without having to put my hands on her.
You can position your baby a number of ways. Face your baby toward you, face them out, or you can even wear your babe on your back.
Once you get the hang of it, you can nurse your newborn in it. I'm not kidding. One time I fed her while walking through a craft fair. No one had a clue.
It's a great way to help your baby take long naps. My little one didn't sleep well in her bassinet. After 20 minutes, she'd wake up and cry to be held. Once I started carrying her in the Moby, her naps increased to a few hours. She loved being so cozy and close to me, and it allowed me to have the freedom to leave the house without feeling like I had to get home to nap her. It also allowed me and my hubby to go out to dinner. I just popped her in the Moby and she would sleep through dessert.

As you can see, I am a huge fan. I loved the Moby when my daughter was first born, and at five and a half months, I still love it. There is nothing like the feeling of having your baby close to you. It is perfect for long walks and grocery shopping, and when you're in the house, if your babe is needing you just slide them in the Moby and you can still get to the dishes or make dinner. If you're debating about which carrier to buy, I would 100 percent recommend a Moby. It may look confusing, but once you learn how to tie it, the Moby will quickly become the item you never leave the house without.

Lil Community: The Culmination of a Wonderful Nine Months

A person's story starts before he or she is born. Heritage, conception, and pregnancy aside, there's an amazing tale to be told of how each baby enters the world. Quackii submitted her birth story in the LilSugar Community. Here's an excerpt.

My first and only pregnancy was easy (as I would say). Yes, I had my nights where they were frustrating, had tremendous heartburn, and for that I had "Tums" and "saltine crackers" the whole night, they worked wonders for me! When my day came, it was actually a pretty funny story. It was 6 am, everyone was still asleep, and I woke up and felt myself wet. I thought I had peed and I was so embarrassed, I didn't tell anyone. I went straight to the shower, and when I got out I went straight to bed again, passed out until 9am, and when I woke up, I was wet again. So this time I woke up my husband and I said "Babe, I think its time." He sped out of the bed like nobody's business, checked my pants and said "this isn't pee, lets go!" (Still no pain) We were calm, yet excited. We were on the road when we passed McDonald's, and we both stared at each other, "mmmm!" So yeah, we stopped for some breakfast through the drive thru! Then we arrived at the hospital still feeling good. We were in the waiting area when I told my husband maybe it's a false alarm, let's go home. He said no let's just wait and see what they tell you . . . and yes, for sure, I was 1cm already!

Kambiri Has a Mama to Love Her . . . But We Love Her, Too!

I'm not quite sure what makes Pygmy Hippopotamuses so cute - their small size or seriously squinty expressions. Take Kambiri, for example, she's giving the camera the stink eye like the man behind it is about to steal her leaf . . . that's also bigger than her head. Don't worry, lil girl, all eyes are on you, not the foliage!
Born in Sydney's Taronga Zoo - also the home to that superstar pygmy hippo named Monifa in 2008 - Kambiri is the first babe being raised by her birth mama in over 20 years!

Get a Sneak Peek of a Baby Giraffe Before Its Public Debut!

You've seen it here first . . . and it's a boy. Or a girl. Regardless of gender, this babe certainly has a sweet sniffer, checking out the giraffe house in Hungary.

Born at the Budapest Zoo and Botanic Garden, keepers haven't yet named the 3-day-old - probably since the sex is not yet determined - and it won't make its public zoo debut 'til next week. Already standing nearly 70 inches tall, this lil one has quite a ways to go before reaching the adult height of 17 to 20 feet!

Texts and Tunes: On the Day You Were Born

A friend gave me On the Day You Were Born ($11) when I was pregnant.

I thought it was sweet so I packed it in my hospital bag to read to my new babe when she joined us on her birthday.

And coincidentally, my in–laws also showed up with a family signed copy to welcome the newest family addition. To see why I love this book so much,

read more. My husband pulled the book from my bag that evening and we read the beautiful book to her. It wasn't until I read it aloud and turned the pages that I realized just how lovely the gift had been. The illustrations were simple - made from paper collages, but the words were profound. With my tiny newborn in my lap, I couldn't fight tears when I read this passage to her:

While you waited in darkness, tiny knees curled to chin, the Earth and her creatures with the Sun and the Moon all moved in their places, each ready to greet you the very first moment of the very first day you arrived.

A perfect gift for an expectant mother that she and the baby can cherish. For a nice touch, do as my family did and inscribe it with a message to welcome baby.
