Parenthood

NBC's Parenthood offers up four mommies. Camille (Bonnie Bedelia) is the glue that holds the Braverman clan together and reels in the family patriarch, Zeek (Craig T. Nelson). Her daughter, Sarah (Lauren Graham) is a recent divorcee struggling who moves back home to make ends meet and give her teenage kids a fresh start. Her younger sister, Julia (Erika Christensen) is a young mom trying to get ahead in her career and still make time for her daughter who openly prefers her father. And, sister-in-law Kristina (Monica Potter) seems to have it all together until her son is diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

What about 'Friday Night Lights'? Tammy Taylor is by far my favorite TV mom in a current series. Can't beat the writing on 'Friday Night Lights'! Tammy has a demanding job and complicated relationships with her husband and daughters, but she's still a very loving, admirable character. Very strong, but very real.
