Be Grateful For an Adorable Thanksgiving Kid Table

When Deanna Talwalkar of Mirabelle Creations decided to throw an Eat, Drink, and Be Grateful-themed Fall party for friends big and small, she knew the kids' table needed to be something special. And what she came up with has us totally excited to create an equally amazing kids' table at our own Thanksgiving feast.

"Even though the kids' table incorporates the same colors and patterns, it's not just a pint-sized version of the adult table," Deanna says. "Fun touches at each place setting will keep the kids busy throughout Thanksgiving dinner. Owl coloring pages serve as place mats. Beside each plate, there are crayons and a little composition notebook. Napkins are tied with a paper leaf and mini acorn owl made using felt." The best part about Deanna's table is that all the printable elements are now available in her shop, making at least one part of your Thanksgiving prep super easy! Beautiful Backdrop

"We have a Fall landscape painting by local artist David Farmer hanging in our living room," Deanna says. "I've always envisioned a Thanksgiving dessert table set up beneath this beautiful painting. Since I wanted the painting to be the focus of the table, I kept most of the other decorations simple. And, like the painting, the desserts are rustic with just a little touch of glam."

"For the desserts, I made a rustic pumpkin stack cake, a modern update to the classic Appalachian apple stack cake. It is made with pumpkin-flavored cake and pumpkin butter between the many layers and is served with cinnamon whipped cream," Deanna says. "The dessert table also included maple crème cookies, mini apple blueberry pies, pumpkin pie, and caramel apples."

Adult Table Setting

Adult Table Setting

"The adult table place setting keeps with the rustic, glam look," Deanna says. "The table was covered with burlap with a gold table runner down the center. Instead of a large centerpiece, red garden roses in small vases and mason jars decorated with gold paint sit down the center of the table. Spray-painted ceramic turkeys and pumpkins also embellished the table."
