It's origami for mommy-to-be! Marisol Rodriguez, an industrial designer now living in Brooklyn, has merged her fascination with origami and her talent for design to create a line of maternity frocks that actually grow with an expecting woman. Skin uses a Japanese paper cutting-like effect to expand organic cotton fabric, revealing a hidden layer that covers burgeoning stomachs. Once a woman has reached her third trimester, the dresses highlight baby bellies. Handmade by unemployed older women in the designer's native Columbia, the dresses ($35) are only available through their local factory at this time. What do you think of the maternity dresses?
