The other night, my kids made chocolate chip cookies, and my 3-year-old took a warm one into the living room to eat. A few minutes after my son had finished his cookie, I noticed my baby was practically sucking the skin off of his fingers and had chocolate smeared across his mouth. Somehow while the two played, a piece of melted chocolate had exchanged hands and my 4-month-old was loving and licking every bit of it. I don't think this is all too uncommon since my daughter's first taste was tiramisu a friend gave her a taste of at a bridal shower, and my older son's was a lick of my daughter's lollipop. What was your child's first taste?
I have been married for a couple of years and I am in my early thirties. And like any couple, we have talked about what we want children-wise. We have both decided that in a few years, we would have one child and then a couple years after that adopt another. I definitely want to experience being pregnant and having a baby but after talking to some of my friends many of them tell me it is hard to adopt children once you are in your late thirties! I was wondering if anyone had adopted a child and knew about any age limits for the parents. I don't want to miss out on an opportunity to help a child in need because the system thinks we are too old.
This weekend TeamSugar member wiciltd wanted some help coming up with appetizer ideas. We pointed her to some of the appetizer recipes we've used on the site - including buffalo chicken wings, mini hot dogs & hamburgers, and savory bacon bites. But we wanted to know, do you have any great advice for wiciltd? What appetizers would you make?
