Orbit's Sidekick Skateboard: Kid Friendly or Are You Kidding?

Orbit Baby's now catering to moms of one, two, and three!

Orbit Baby's now catering to moms of one, two, and three! The company just announced their latest release, the Sidekick ($120), a skateboard attachment for the G2 stroller ($750). The cool contraption holds kiddos (aged 2 and up to 50 lbs) allowing them the luxury to roll when their young sibling is being pushed. And, because the boards hook on to the sides of the buggy, there's room for two — one on the left and another on the right. If the youngster wants to hop off and walk, the board flips up and out of the way. What do you think of this setup?

The Mother of Invention: How Do You and Your Kids Roll?

A grocery cart can carry many kids!

A grocery cart can carry many kids! Motherhood is the mother of invention. Once you've got a few children, life — shopping, lugging, carrying, and carting is a juggle! I've tried a myriad of ways to manage my three kids while we're out running errands — one in the front of the cart, one in the back, and one riding it like a scooter, but was beyond impressed when I saw how Twitter mama deboyama braves Target with her four youngsters in tow! Whether a mom of twins is out for a walk wearing one babe in a front carrier and the other in a backpack, or containing two tots by pushing one in a buggy and the other on an attachable board, I want to know how your family rolls! Purchasing Identical Gifts For Twins: Double the Fun or Dumb?

Twins share a birthday, but should they share every present?

Twins share a birthday, but should they share every present? People want to be fair when they purchase items for multiples, so they often buy the exact same item for each child or those in coordinating colors or patterns. Does this make things easier for all involved, or is it more practical for gift-givers to choose separate products for each tot as they would for any other age-spaced siblings?

Kate Gosselin Says "6 Is Just a Big Baby" Do You Agree?

Last night on Kate Plus 8, the mom of multiples talked about her sextuplets turning 6.

Last night on Kate Plus 8, the mom of multiples talked about her sextuplets turning 6. The Gosselins have long referred to their twins, Mady and Cara as the big girls and Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah, as the little kids. Kate wondered aloud when her youngest children will be considered just "kids" and quickly decided "6 is just a big baby — right?"

Seeing Double, Rebecca Romijn Chimes in on Dressing Twins

Double dressing? Lots of moms outfit their adorable duos in identical attire, but actress Rebecca Romijn isn't one of them.

Double dressing? Lots of moms outfit their adorable duos in identical attire, but actress Rebecca Romijn isn't one of them. When we asked if she dressed her daughters alike, she said:

I like to coordinate them, but I don't like to match them. It's funny because I know they are seconds away from having very strong opinions on what they wear so I'm taking advantage of these last few months where I dress them how I want. I usually give them choices and say, "Do you want to wear this or that?" and they pick.

The model mom said comfort and ease are the priorities when outfitting Dolly and Charlie O'Connell. The twins also like to check out what apparel their mama is sporting — especially her shoe selection! Seventy-one percent of LilSugar readers aren't fans of family dressing, but what's your opinion on multiples dressed to match?

Check out the secret Rebecca and her husband are keeping from their twins and her answers to our four Lil questions on motherhood!

Rebecca Romijn Wonders When Motherhood Gets Easier

Rebecca Romijn is 16 months into motherhood and enjoying the first leg of the lifelong journey with twin daughters Dolly and Charlie O'Connell.

Rebecca Romijn is 16 months into motherhood and enjoying the first leg of the lifelong journey with twin daughters Dolly and Charlie O'Connell. "There's nothing dainty or delicate about these girls," the actress said during our recent interview. "But they are little princesses and we love them so much," she added. The former model and her husband, actor Jerry O'Connell are keeping their children's birth order under wraps, but she was candid when it came time to chat about being a mom.

LilSugar: Fill in the blank. You know you’re a mother when ____.
Rebecca Romijn: You know you're a mother when you feel yourself into the embrace of your baby for the first time and it's immediate. It happens as soon as they're born and it's an honor.

LilSugar: Fill in the blank. Why didn’t anybody tell me _____ about motherhood?
Rebecca Romijn: Why didn't anybody tell me that it continues to be really, really hard. Everyone kept telling me, "Oh don't worry after three months it gets so much easier" and then people go, "After eight months it gets so much easier". I haven't experienced when it gets easier and I have a feeling with twins it's going to be when they are a little bit older.

Rebecca Romijn's Twin Daughters Won't Know Who's Older!

Dolly and Charlie O'Connell's parents are keeping a big secret!

Dolly and Charlie O'Connell's parents are keeping a big secret! Rebecca Romijn and her husband Jerry may live public lives, but their 16-month-old daughters are no different from other tots — except they will likely never know which twin is older! We had the opportunity to chat with the model, actress, and mother yesterday while she was promoting Huggies' denim diapers. When asked about the personality differences between her darling duo, she said:

This may sound strange, but we decided before they were born — I had a c-section so they both came out at the same time — that they wouldn't know which one was born first. Technically, one did come out first, but we feel like a lot of twins get to brag —"I was born five minutes earlier. I was born first." and the truth is they shared the womb. We're also curious to see if the one who is older naturally takes on that first sibling role. On their birth certificates, they were born in the same minute. It was a conversation we had with the doctor before they were even born and so far it's worked out pretty well. They are both extremely strong willed and neither of them seems to be in charge of the other at all. They are young and developing their personalities and their relationship with each other so they don't need to know that information. Maybe when they are much older we'll tell them.

Nadya Suleman on Oprah: Can Any Mother Handle 14 Children?

Nadya Suleman gained fame (or infamy) when she gave birth to the world's first surviving octuplets.

Nadya Suleman gained fame (or infamy) when she gave birth to the world's first surviving octuplets. The mom quickly given the nickname "Octomom" already had six children at home. During an interview with Oprah that aired today, the talk show host asked, "Do you feel that you can give your children what they need and deserve?" Suleman said no, that "no parent could," but that she would die before she'd give up any of her kids. What one woman can handle is overwhelming for another. While some parents hit their limit with a single child, there are others like the Duggars who have 19 and would welcome more offspring. But do you think any single mother (or father) could handle the Suleman bunch, which includes octuplets, twins, and an autistic child?

Room For Two: Twin Designs by Natalie Umbert

Moms of multiples have more to worry about than window treatments and duvet covers, so we enlisted the help of interior designer Natalie Umbert to give her tips on how to decorate shared rooms.

Moms of multiples have more to worry about than window treatments and duvet covers, so we enlisted the help of interior designer Natalie Umbert to give her tips on how to decorate shared rooms. Since twins and triplets are on the rise, we were curious to find out how parents can give each child a sense of self in a room for two or three. These are also practical ideas for siblings. Here are the highlights:

  • On making a room's design flow. "To showcase each child’s personality in a shared space, choose one common thread. For instance, if one wants ballerinas and the other wants butterflies, let them have their choice — just make sure that you use the same colors despite the different themes. Especially for same sex twins, you should encourage them to choose items themselves (if they can!) that fit into a general color scheme or theme (trains and cars, or shades of blue, etc.). At least one furniture item should match, like the beds, and then you can play around with the rest. Try getting unique side chairs for each child, maybe one upholstered and the other one wood with cushions, OR try variations on the same bedside table — just change the knobs or hardware! Try to repeat the colors, even if they are in different shades, to create cohesion in the space. Designer's pick: Don’t be afraid to add "mature" elements like sophisticated hardware. I love these vintage looking knobs from Anthropologie ($6-$16)."
