Maternity wear and bridesmaids dresses are probably the two most notoriously not-so-cute fashion categories out there, so adding them together might seem like a recipe for disaster. Luckily, as the following nine finds from Amsale, Jenny Yoo, twobirds, and more prove, there are some shockingly stylish maternity bridesmaids dresses out there. Some are made just for moms-to-be, while others are cut wide enough to accommodate your growing belly. Now if you can only convince the bride to pick one . . .
Whether you're hosting a baby shower or are the lucky guest of honor at your own fete, it's nice to send off the other attendees with a little token of appreciation. Baby shower favors can be a tricky order to fill — while the focus of the day is celebrating the baby on the way, not every guest in attendance is necessarily a mom herself. There's a fine line between staying on track with the theme of the day and gifting your nearest and dearest with something they'll actually enjoy. We think these 13 ideas fit the bill beautifully.
I don't know about you, but when I was still breastfeeding my kids, I thought I had mastered the art of defrosting my breast milk. I had a specific mug dedicated to the task and an Instant Hot faucet that guaranteed the milk would be ready in a matter of mere minutes. It took a few weeks to perfect, but I had my routine down pat.
That was before Nutto came up with their new Mama’s Milk Warmer ($30). The stainless steel, Thermos-like contraption is large enough to hold a baby bottle or pouch of frozen breast milk while retaining the heat of tap water so the milk can be heated both at home and on the run. Conceived by "an exasperated mom," and designed by an aerospace engineer, Mama’s Milk Warmer has an interior ring of holding bristles that prevent bottles and pouches from bobbing during the heating process.
While most moms have their own way of defrosting and heating up their milk, Mama’s Milk Warmer claims to make the process easier, neater, and more efficient. What do you think?

It seems like everyone is baking up diaper cakes these days! But there's a hot new trend in rolling and stacking the nappies — the shaped diaper cake! Inventive moms are going beyond the one, two, and three-tiered creations, by molding the Pampers into new structures from baskets to tricycles. I rounded up 23 of my favorites that you can use as inspiration for your own inedible confections.
I may be on my second child, but I'm a novice nurser. Having had broken boobs with my first, I'm learning how to nurse to begin with, let alone while balancing it with the energy of my rambunctious 2-year-old. I wish I was one of those hippie moms who could effortlessly swing her nursing babe around while doing one-handed laundry and cook dinner at the same time like it was nothing. I'm not. Edith and I like to sit quietly on the couch with the Boppy pillow and focus.
So I think it goes without saying that, while I'm not afraid to nurse in public, it's a struggle for me to do it effortlessly. I fall somewhere in the middle when it comes to the modesty vs. "my right to nurse in public" argument. I'm not going to not nurse while I'm out and about; but I wouldn't say I'm comfortable whipping my boob out in the middle of the mall.
Using a light blanket or nursing cover has been working fine for us; but I've got to say, sometimes it's hard to get set up without looking while remaining covered. I mean, put a nursing cover over me and it's like I've forgotten how to unhook a bra. I'm sure it's not as complicated as I'm making it; but after sweating under a cover while trying to balance baby and get my boob out of my shirt one too many times, I decided to begin a quest for the best shirts for nursing.
