I learned how to do henna many years ago, and though I've done many friend's pregnant bellies, this was the first time I've ever done my own! It was hard to see what I was doing on myself, but here's a pic of how it turned out. I've always wanted to henna my baby bump as I think it's a beautiful way to celebrate your amazing body and the miracle inside it.
Modern mamas-to-be are taking part in the ancient traditional end of pregnancy practice of some cultures by having henna designs adorn their bellies. Said to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck and happiness to the lil one growing inside, the 100 percent natural application turns into a true work of art.
Would you decorate your belly?
