Caught on Camera: Paparazzi-Like Proposal Photo Shoots

A cute proposal aired yesterday morning on the Today show, and it wasn't shot by your typical wedding photographer, it was actually captured by a former paparazzo.

A cute proposal aired yesterday morning on the Today show, and it wasn't shot by your typical wedding photographer, it was actually captured by a former paparazzo. It makes sense that the same stealthy photography skills honed by the paparazzi for celebrities would come in handy for snapping a proposal without the bride-to-be becoming suspicious.

And while it's one thing to have pretty engagement photos, it's even more romantic to have that emotional moment of saying yes always captured by camera — especially when it's all such a blur! My own fiancé had one of my closest friends hiding with a camera in hand when he popped the question, and I'm so happy I can see it all again. See some other heartfelt proposals snapped by paparazzi-like photographers now!

Watch Blake's Bachelor Pad Proposal to Holly — and Michael's Reaction

Last night was the Bachelor Pad 2 finale, and who won the show wasn't even the most talked-about moment from the episode.

Last night was the Bachelor Pad 2 finale, and who won the show wasn't even the most talked-about moment from the episode.

We knew that Michael Stagliano's partner and ex-fiancée, Holly Durst, is engaged to fellow Bachelor Pad contestant Blake Julian, but last night we got to see the proposal video along with all the other contestants and a studio audience. The only person who wasn't in the know? Michael, who was behind the stage and kept completely in the dark until being told with a camera in his face. Stay classy, Holly and Blake.

Watch the video of the proposal above, featuring Blake donning his signature Cheshire Cat grin and '80s-party-ready v-neck/plaid blazer combo as he and Holly enjoy a romantic, totally-not-staged date in a meadow on the top of a hill at sunset, with just the two of them — and an ABC camera crew.

And see how some of the pad's castoffs reacted to the proposal.

Our thoughts exactly. Now watch poor Michael get blindsided by a smirky-faced Blake and his ex-fiancée Holly's engagement news.

Kris Humphries Asks Kim Kardashian to Marry Him With a Klassic Proposal

Kris Humphries proposed to Kim Kardashian on last night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kris Humphries proposed to Kim Kardashian on last night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Considering that we've seen everyday couples get engaged via an elaborate Muppet video or mid-skydive, Kris popped the question in a relatively traditional manner, albeit with a TV crew filming and a $2 million diamond ring.

In Kim's bedroom, Kris set up candles arranged to say, "I <3 you," and rose petals spelling out the big question, "Will you marry me?" He explained why he chose her room as the location for the proposal, saying, "To me, our love is simple, and I don't want like all the distractions and everything crazy going around. I just want it to be in her home and quiet and perfect." Kim was obviously pleased, seeing Kris down on one knee. Watch the moment above, and then tell us what you think of Kris's proposal.

Another Guy Proposes to Girlfriend With Some Movie Magic

The soon-to-be fiancé in this video isn't the first guy to propose in the form of a movie preview he created.

The soon-to-be fiancé in this video isn't the first guy to propose in the form of a movie preview he created. In fact, he isn't even the first to bring the DIY trailer beyond YouTube and onto the big screen by convincing a movie theater to play the trailer. The man behind last year's viral Muppet proposal managed the same thing. But Matt — who made the latest version of the "greatest marriage proposal EVER!!!" — added a level of suspense and action I haven't seen before.

His girlfriend was at the movies with someone else, when suddenly she recognized her dad's voice, and then her boyfriend's asking her father for her hand. Then she, and the audience, had to figure out how Matt was going to get to the theater to get down on one knee. Check it out. Do you think it's sweet or are these YouTube-bait proposals getting played out? Tell us what you think in the comments!

A Look Back at Crossword Puzzle Proposals

This weekend, Corey Newman used the Sunday Washington Post crossword puzzle to propose to his girlfriend, Marlowe Epstein.

This weekend, Corey Newman used the Sunday Washington Post crossword puzzle to propose to his girlfriend, Marlowe Epstein. It was a sweet proposal that managed to be a sentimental private moment, while still being a public grand gesture (it was filmed and written about in The Washington Post). Maybe after all the techy proposals of late, popping the question is going old school? Newman is the latest fella to use word nerd-ery for asking "Will you marry me?", but he definitely wasn't the first. Let's look back at some of the other crossword puzzle proposals that have made headlines.

Should Groom Ask Bride's Children For Mom's Hand in Marriage?

While asking a father's (or parent's) permission to marry their daughter may be a tradition in some families, modern times have added a lot more people to the mix!

While asking a father's (or parent's) permission to marry their daughter may be a tradition in some families, modern times have added a lot more people to the mix! Many women walking down the aisle are already mothers (as a good number of grooms are fathers). Do you think it's fitting for the husband-to-be to ask the bride's children for their mom's hand in marriage?
