I didn't do much searching around for my first crib, instead picking up a relatively affordable, simple style from a major retailer. Oh, if I had known then what I know now! Today's crib market is full of modern, stylish, sleek, and just-plain-cool options, with new introductions constantly adding to the baby-bed awesomeness. Five new cribs from Oeuf, Babyletto, Nurseryworks, Dutailier, and DaVinci Baby have me rethinking using my old crib for any future children. Oeuf Porcelain Brooches: Kid-Friendly or Are You Kidding?
If you haven't noticed, we're pretty much obsessed with all things Oeuf. The baby and kids' clothing and accessories, the furniture, the founders' home . . . all are perfection. But we haven't quite made up our mind about Oeuf's latest holiday offering: a collection of quirky porcelain brooches.
Handmade from France's famous Limoges porcelain, the brooches ($22-$26) come in three sizes and all feature fun sayings for kids of all ages. Go for a silly saying like "cereal killer" or "you talking to me?" or express your inner Francophile with brooches bearing phrases like "if I had a French accent I would never shut up" and "I speak Franglais." Holiday offerings include brooches saying "I've been good all year" and "I'm a good friend of Santa," along with the design-your-own large brooch, which has "all I want for Christmas is" on top with space below to draw your gift of choice. So what do you think of Oeuf's new brooches? Do they make the perfect kid-cessory, or will you be sticking to old-school buttons? Weigh in below.
Cozy Critters! Get a Preview of Oeuf's Fall Collection
Oeuf is one of the hippest kids' companies out there (it's no surprise after looking at the founders' amazing home, complete with a living room trapeze swing!). But when the company sent us a preview of its Fall clothing and goodies, we were still taken aback by the level of coolness.
Oeuf has created a collection that is completely kid-friendly on multiple levels. First, the all-knitwear line is supercozy and comfy, but it's also incredibly whimsical and fun. Masks, tails, capes, crowns, and more turn everyday dressing into a game of dress-up. And, believe us, your kids will look much more hip in a knitted owl mask or giraffe tail than they ever could in that princess dress or superhero cape. The Oeuf Founder's Free-Flying Brooklyn Brownstone
You would expect the creators of modern, eco-friendly nursery furniture and clothing line Oeuf to live in a sleek space, but the Brooklyn brownstone shared by Sophie Demenge and Michael Ryan, the husband-and-wife team behind the brand, and their two children is nothing if not unexpected. The living room's flying trapeze (!!) and the family's room curated but decidedly lived-in look make this house feel wonderfully playful and cozy. Simple or Swank: Modern Gray Cribs
For the love of all things gray! We can't get enough of the gray trend in nurseries, and we know you can't either. Mamas have increasingly been turning to all shades of gray when it comes to painting the nursery walls, but if you feel like you just don't want to commit to something so bold, why not add a little gray to your baby room decor with a modern gray crib?

- Simple: The Modena 3-in-1 Fixed Side Crib by Baby Mod in Cool Grey ($200) is made of sustainable pine wood, featuring clean lines and simple forms. A perfect — and affordable — fit for a modern nursery!
- Swank: The ever-popular Oeuf Sparrow Crib in Gray ($730) is expertly crafted in Europe from solid birch. It's got the design that mamas love with a gray finish. It's a minimalist's dream come true!

Steal Honor Warren's Pre-Valentine's Day Look
We're a few weeks from Valentine's Day, but Honor Warren is already wearing her heart on her dress! The darling 2-year-old was spotted wearing Oeuf's signature handmade wool Bobo Heart Dress ($88) while palling around the playground with Jessica Alba. The casual frock, which also comes in a Summer version we adore, is the perfect way for a preschooler to show her love year-round. For lil ones who want to join the heart brigade, we found Little Marc's Heart Dress on sale for ($41), LainaLine's Toddler Heart Dress ($30), and Old Navy's Fine-Whale Corduroy Dress ($14). Finish off the outfit with a pair of Converse Jack Purcell Jr. sneakers ($35) for a classic kid take on the sugary-sweet look!
Lil Gift Guide: Best Gifts For Grandparents

Clockwise from top left: The Grandparent Book ($12) is the perfect spot for grandparents to record their memories for the next generation. Oeuf's Squeeze Me Mittens ($60) make walking hand in hand a fun new experience for lil ones and their elders. The eco-friendly alpaca wool mittens allow a tot to hold on tight during a cold weather stroll. Grandparents will love walking kids through their family history with Famille Summerbelle's photo family tree ($65), which can be updated with new photos as the tots grow up. Kodak's Pulse Digital Picture Frame ($109) allows distant families to email images directly to the frame for grandparents to view throughout the day. It's ideal for grandparents who aren't exactly computer-savvy! Give grandparents what they want the most — the gift of time — with an annual membership to a local children's museum, kid-friendly rec center, or craft studio, such as NYC's Make Meaning, where memberships only cost $36 for a year's worth of studio time.
