Piper's Grown-Up Girlie-Glam Room

We were wowed by the woodland bedroom Traci Fleming, owner of Nurseryworks, created for her son, Mason.

We were wowed by the woodland bedroom Traci Fleming, owner of Nurseryworks, created for her son, Mason. So it's no surprise that his big sister's room is equally (if not more!) awesome. Using a mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings and accessories, Piper's sophisticated room has a whimsical feel that's totally kid-appropriate, but it also has a sense of glamour that will work well as she grows up. We have to admit, vintage Murano lights and Asian bedside tables, a Madeline Weinrib ikat rug, and coral tones have us feeling a bit jealous of little Piper's bedroom. OnSugar Blog: Envying Nurseryworks' Empire Rocker

Lots of moms like to think out loud and PatiBF is one of them.

Lots of moms like to think out loud and PatiBF is one of them. In the latest post to her Baby Style blog, the mama shows off the rocker of her dreams.

I spotted this rocker ($800) shortly after Sandra was born and ordered it because it was the only one I could find with a cool design that looked comfortable. Another bonus is the wide seat that would fit both Sandra and I sitting side-by-side to read books when she gets a little older. At the time, I think my greatest concern was being able to rest my head thanks to the high back and sides (thank goodness those midnight feedings are long gone). Unfortunately, when I ordered it the product was backordered for months, and I wouldn't get it until after the most crucial period that I needed it for Sandra. I still kind of wish we had gotten it! The rocker comes in various colors, and the company also makes many other modern and functional items.

Nurseryworks Lucite Crib: Ga Ga or Gag?

The answer to seeing your sleeping baby may soon be clear!

The answer to seeing your sleeping baby may soon be clear! Nurseryworks, the swanky modern nursery furniture design company, recently debuted a state-of-the-art Lucite crib that is not only clear, but environmentally friendly too. The Hollis, which could sell for as much as $3,000 when it hits stores early next year, is designed to fit a standard-sized mattress and will have a matching dresser in its collection. Named after Charles Hollis Jones, who is considered a pioneer in the use of Lucite and acrylic, the see through crib will also come in pink and green options. Would the Hollis crib work in your nursery?

Sturdy Cribs to Keep Baby Safe

Many parents don't mind putting the bulk of their design budget towards the newborn's crib — the most important item in a nursery.
Safe Crib Options

Many parents don't mind putting the bulk of their design budget towards the newborn's crib — the most important item in a nursery. In recent days, some crib makers and their retailers have decided to stop manufacturing and selling the popular drop-side versions leaving many customers wondering if their current crib is a hazard.

In an effort to keep customers hazard free and to prevent further recalls, Babies R Us will no longer stock and shelve the drop-side style, but encourage consumers to buy either a fold down design or version with fixed rails. With so many cute options on the market, it's hard to pick a favorite!
