Filled with some of the hottest trends (not just in the tot world, but in general home design), the collection includes plenty of emerald (color of the year!) finds, denim, polka dots, and florals. To me, Summer is all about being in the backyard, walking around barefoot. Unfortunately, my daughter hasn't yet learned the joys of feeling the grass under her feet, so a picnic blanket or outdoor mat is still a must-have now that I'm a yard-owning suburbanite as it was when I spent Summer afternoons at the park when I was a city dweller. If you're in the same boat, consider investing in one of the five outdoor blankets pictured above. Most are waterproof, and all fold up nicely to fit over your shoulder or in your picnic basket. We're huge fans of The Land of Nod's gorgeous design options for nurseries, kids rooms, and playrooms. And after getting a sneak preview of the brand's Fall 2012 line, which will be in stores (and online) in July, we found a few pieces that we're even lusting after for our own bedrooms and family rooms.

Vignettes at Land of Nod's preview ran the range from the masculine "American Kitsch" theme to a "Soft and Quiet" room for stylish girlie-girls. Click through and tell us, what's your favorite piece?

Simple: IKEA makes a $20 easel with chalkboard on one side and whiteboard on the other. The simple design has a tray to store the lil artist's utensils. And, a paper roll can be used with the design as well.

Swank: The multi–purpose art stand from Land of Nod offers a few more perks. For $119, the chalkboard side has upper and lower case alphabet letters printed on the board, which is great for a lil one learning script. The hardwood stand also comes with a large roll of paper and a tray for jars of paint or cups or markers.
