I've been catching up on AMC's Mad Men and was touched by a scene from season one when Betty's young neighbor Glen sat down at the piano and plunked out a pretty tune. Sadly, his mother, Helen Bishop, yelled at him a second later to stop or risk waking up his sister. The moment broke my heart because it appeared the tender character was trying to express himself and I was reminded what an important role music can play in a child's development.

Warm weather brings pool parties, camping, sandcastles, fireflies, sparklers and family road trips. As schools are closing and the temperatures rise, think back to your dog days of summer and tell us your favorite memory.
