A book a day wishes ailments away. Even when they are under the weather, kids like to be entertained. So comfort your child with a story that answers some of their questions about a cold or flu they've encountered.
Written by pediatrician, and mom of three, Charlotte Cowen, M.D., the books cover illnesses kids get from ear infections to sore throats and vomiting. Her four books include Katie Caught a Cold and Sadie’s Sore Throat. The entire set features cheery stories, distracting illustrations and each comes with a pull-out parent guide that answers common questions about the ailments.
A Greek girl carried her twin for nine years. According to an Associated Press article, the young lady had stomach pains and a swollen belly so doctors went in to remove what they thought was a tumor. It turned out to be the child's embryonic twin, which was over two inches long. It said:
Andreas Markou, head of the hospital's pediatric department, said the embryo was a formed fetus with a head, hair, and eyes, but no brain or umbilical cord.
The doctor also said that cases where one twin absorbs the other while in the womb occur in one in 500,000 live births. The parents of the girl who has recovered did not want her identity released to the public.

Cate Blanchett's a triple threat — she's an Oscar winner, a class act, and a mom. The Australian beauty stole the red carpet in Cannes when she showed up in a gorgeous Armani Prive gown for the premiere of her film,
Blindness. The blush-toned garment complemented the starlet's fair hair and pale eyes so beautifully that it's hard to believe that she delivered a baby four weeks ago. Married to playwright Andrew Upton, the 39-year-old is mum to three sons, Ignatius, Dashiell, 6, and Roman, 3. Kudos to Cate for having it all and putting such a stunning face on motherhood! Once your tot reaches the toddler stage, you become inundated with pictures, collages and all the other projects they pack home from daycare or preschool. And, since there's only so much space on the fridge, you need an alternative. ART:archives is a company that digitally preserves and stores your child’s artwork.

Quick breakfast can be more than a slice of toast. I'm not a fan of spray foods and tend to make most of my kids' food from scratch and with organic ingredients. But weekday mornings at my house are sheer madness. I'm running to work, my daughter's off to preschool and my husband and son are headed to the park.
The first meal of the day is usually a granola bar on the go, yogurt and juice. Sit down meals like pancakes are reserved for the weekends when we have more time. To see what product changed that unwritten rule, read more

A home of their own. Kids accumulate a ton of stuff, so why not give them a pad to put it all in? Though I imagine if you are forking over the big bucks for one of these beauties, there's plenty of room in the parents' abode.
It’s fun to see how people spoil their children. Last week I drooled over a gorgeous swing set and a top-of-the-line pram. Today, I can’t take my eyes off of this backyard playhouse that is bigger than my first apartment.
The Cotton Candy Manor, by Lilliput Play Homes, is the prime real estate. Complete with a brass-plated doorbell and door knocker, the home has a stately balcony, columned porch and sponge-painted walls. And if the 15 by 6 foot base of the home is not large enough for your brood, you can upgrade to an additional 16 square feet.
But it doesn’t end there. As my friend Casa would tell you, a house is not a home until it has been decorated, so Lilliput Play Homes offers furnishing packages including antique kitchens, working baby grand pianos and window fixtures, all for an additional charge.
