Nobody booking a cross-country flight with a toddler thinks they are in for an easy trip. As I told you last week, my last trip was filled with airline delays and track and field moves to get me to my gate on time. While you can't control traffic delays and TSA bottlenecks, you can make the trip easier for your tot and your fellow travelers by filling your carry-on with projects and toys that make time pass a little faster.

If only children wore the suits in Washington. Second grader, Justice LeVecke, won a "Letter to the President" contest sponsored by musician and activist, Michael Franti. The precocious girl recently read her letter, which called for an end to war, at his concert.
Angelina did it. Gwen did it. And, now Giada has gone and done it. Did you? The famous mamas all referred to their bouncing bundles of joy as well, blobs. There's no doubt these ladies love their lil ones, but what's your take on using the term "blob" to describe a baby? Source
Christina Aguilera is a new mommy, but, the buxom blonde known for her signature red lips, didn't waste any time bringing sexy back. She and hubby, Jordan Bratman, welcomed their son, Max, six-months-ago and have been going strong. As next month's Glamour cover girl, the songstress told the magazine how she keeps the marital flames burning. She said:
"We make sure we have Mommy and Daddy nights out. Our child comes first, obviously, but there are certain things you can do: Once we know he's in good hands, we go out late at night and have a few drinks. Then we'll come home, dim the lights and do our thing--and I'm not going into any more detail than that!"
The Fourth of July has always been a favorite holiday of mine. I don't know if it is the patriotic music, the day long barbecues or the firework displays, but it always puts a smile on my face.
And, I like to dress the part in patriotic colors. Show me some tot togs in red, white and blue and I get giddy. This year, I am digging nautical outfits for my lil one. Whether it is this adorable top and its matching pants from Hula Mula ($60) or any of the pieces you see below, your tot will be ready to set sail for the social events.
After pregnancy, breastfeeding, and bending down to pick up my lil one, I traded in my head up, shoulders back posture for a more rounded one. Mothers slouch to bear the weight of their babies and crouch over their meandering tots.
Shopping for little girls is the most fun task in the world. The hard part comes when I want the items for myself, too. While I'm not into dressing like my tot, I'd be hard pressed not to buy this outfit for myself if it came in my size.
